Sorry B4 just seen your message. I've layed off now for a £60 profit on Pompey or draw aqnd £30 loss on Bournemouth

Edit: Having seen below that my overall profit was £61 I can only assume, in my rush placing bets, that my profit at this stage was £65 and not £60. Later I put £4 on Pompey @ 7/1 to eradicate the entire liability.

Overall loss down to £127.

Very annoying on Sunday, watching Liverpool game and knowing that Preston v Swindon kicked off at 3:30pm. I intended my first big bet of the season (would have done about £250 lay of Swindon @ 2.4) because I'm not convinced about Swindon's credentials AND their best player (by a considerable distance) Mattt Ritchie was out injured.

My hangover and my focus on our game meant I forgot about the Swindon game until 3:35pm. I quickly logged onto to Betfair to place the bet but Preston had scored 1 minute earlier and there was no point laying Swindon at that stage.......they ended up getting stuffed 4-1.

Bugger!

£16 lay of Russia beating Norn Iron (starts at 4pm) to win £80.

I've no doubt Russia should be strong favourites but some of this Norn Iron team can play and Russia are nothing special. IMO Russia should be 1/3 (1.33) to win or even 2/5 (1.40) so the 1/5 (1.2) price on Betfair is worthy of a speculative lay.

£104 lay of Oxford United beating Exeter to win £90
£46 Lay of Bury beating Preston to win £20
£37 lay of MK Dons winning at Walsall to win £30
£14 Scunny to beat Sheff Utd to win £41
£30 over 2.5 goals Barnet v Gillingham to win £27

Rochdale 0-1 Burton after 52 minutes

£18 lay of burton winning to win £25

I always forget about this forum. Anyway I've had a terrible start to the season so it's best I haven't been posting my fancies I suppose.

I know City don't have a great record at Stoke but just think the price of 3/4 is too good to turn down.
Also Bolton whilst not starting too well will have to click sooner or later in this division and 5/6 at home to Watford is very tempting. Also quite fancy Everton to beat Newcastle who are missing a few players on Monday night

QPR, over 5.5 goals mancs v Wigan and LFC draw @ 109/1

Bolton, Blackburn, Burnley to win with Cardiff drawing with Leeds at 29/1

QPR, Villa to win with LFC draw @ 27/1

The game that I'llprobably risk most on is Shrews v Scuthorpe because Shrews aren't as good as their recent results would suggest and Scunny aren't quite as bad as their recent results. It's 2 poor teams and I reckon Scunny are marginally better so home difference to Shrews makes it a real 50:50 game whereas the odds are heavily on Shrews side.

Depending on team news I'll be doing about £200 lay of Shrews and an extra £50 on the Scunny win.

£35 lay of Villa beating Swansea to win £25
£25 over 2.5 goals Fulham v WBA to win £25
£20 Barnsley to beat Blackpool to win £70
£173 lay of Shrews beating Scunny to win £200
£50 Scunny to win at Shrews to win £185
£10 Crewe to win at Stevenage to win £34

Half time Shrews 0-1 Scunthorpe

Laying Scunthorpe now to reduce my liability on a Shrews comeback........

-£190 Shrewsbury
+£327 Scunthorpe
+£266 Draw

I've just laid a hefty wager on Mendis to be the top wicket taker in the T20 cricket world cup @ 34/1.

He's playing on home soil and imo should be amongst the favourites in this area.

I've gone for Ajmal and Amla for wickets/runs

Who do you reckon will win it?
