Youngsters who have left us...

Only huge if you live in Leeds.

Ha. Obviously Leeds are shit now, but they used to be a big club, and are still a fairly big name.

For him to go on to do that is quite the achievement.

However, I think he's back at Huddersfield now, so it's all a moo point.

Bouzanis played for Oldham against us in the FA Cup. He's left the club since and after a couple of hops, has returned to play in Australia.

And of course, on a sadder note, young Miki Roque played for Betis in Spain, but died of cancer a few years back.
Another youngster, Beslan Idrizaj, last played for Swansea in 2010, and died of a heart attack shortly after that campaign.

May they rest in peace.

I still can't believe Paletta went on to play for Italiy. Not only I remember him as an Argentinian, he was also by far the worst part of our defence that conceded 4 goals from Julio Baptista. Other two youngsters I can remember for being as shit as he was are Damien Plessis and Daniele Padelli. I googled them and Plessis is apparently a free agent after playing 0 games for a Lausanne, who were relegated from the Swiss top tier, while Padelli won the "goalkeeper revelation of the season" award playing for Torino in Serie A.

It got me thinking we should send all of our shit players to Italy on loan with an option to buy or something. It also got me thinking Reina must be absolutely fucking awful right now.

Plessis had a fairly decent game on his debut if I remember correctly.
Think it was against Arsenal.
Don't know what happened with him.
I'm glad we didn't keep Paletta.
Ya couldn't be looking at that hair every fucking week.

Yeah, I remember him being decent when he had to play against Arsenal due to injuries to other players once. The next time I saw him play he started our first league game of the season and that was probably the most inept display by a Liverpool player I've ever seen. He got subbed at half time and I don't think he ever played for us agian.
I think that was the start of the season Rafa tried to buy Barry and offload Alonso, so he started Plessis in his place to prove his point.

For me it'll always be Ritchie Partridge.

So much promise, so little to show for.

Well at least he made up for it in other ways by earning a Masters and is now the physio for our Under-21s and marrying Michael Owen's sister.
