Henderson for Ramsay
Sturridge for Kane
Sterling for Sanchez
Coutinho for Ozil

Feel free to add more.

I wouldnt swap those four for many players to be honest.

I'd swap the majority of the rest for some of those Arsenal players

No chance, certainly not in the case of Hendo and Coutinho anyway, I think they're both much more consistent and effective players for us, than Ozil and Ramsay are for them. Kane looks the real deal, but Sturridge has done it over a longer period, tough one really, but I'd stick with Studge because with the right partner he's a much more classy player.

Sterling and Sanchez is a tough one, but Sterling could be as good as if not, better than Sanchez.

Its not that much longer though.. In this hypothetical land, i think i'd take Kane and i don't think Studge works as a lone striker as effectively as he does with a high energy strike partner.

I'd probably take Sanchez for Sterling too.

Sanchez over Sterling for sure

Some more then...

Balotelli or Welbeck?
Lallana or Cazorla?
Mignolet or any Arsenal keeper?

Only one would be sanchez for sterling. The rest hell the fuck no. Kane would slow down our play and doesn't have the trickery of sturridge. Sanchez has hard work and end product so he would be a worthwhile swap.

Hendo / Ramsey. Ramsey is a class player, however he's made of glass. At his best I'd say he's closer to Coutinho than Hendo in his style of play. Close but I'd stick with Hendo.

Sterling - Sanchez. Here you would be gambling potential over the here and now, because as it stands Sanchez is the better player.

Coutinho - Ozil. No, Couts for me. He's already better with a much higher ceiling.

Sturridge - Kane. Another tough one. Of course Kane is on form but when both are at their best Sturridge is better. Studge.

On a side note, Cazorla is a great player. Wished we signed him when he left either Villareal or Malaga.

You mention Ramsay is made of glass. Can you not say the same about Sturridge? That should come into the equation shouldnt it? Or is it one rule for one... 🙂

Yep. He's a fantasitc footballer. Only saw bits of him in Spain, so only knew a bit about him (but liked him), but think he's great.

Jeez Pete. Answer is obvious. Liverpool players use Pilkington Glass not that brittle Southern shite.

Cazorla is indeed a wonderful player. He has only 12 months left on his deal too - if he's available on a free, then I think he'd be a better Bosman signing than someone like Milner.

I wouldn't make any of those four swaps. Try it with City players:

Sterling for Aguero
Coutinho for Silva
Henderson for Fernandinho
Markovic for Navas
Can for Toure

Thanks interesting - I wonder if anyone is going to be swooping in for him. He has been the reason they've stayed competitive whilst Sanchez's form has dropped. Really classy player.

Someone is going to bump this thread in a couple of years to laugh at those who would've swapped Sterling for Sanchez.

Considering a lot of people were reasonably happy with the idea of replacing Suarez with Sanchez, the idea of doing so with Sterling at this point is potentially a no brainer. It is still a gamble on talent and consistency.

You're missing out the small matter of £40m and the total lack of decent alternatives, though...

Sterling - Sanchez is the only one worth considering IMO.

I wouldn't swap any one in our entire squad for that shithouse Ozil.

Gerrard for Ibrahimovic?
Balotelli for Torres?
Allen for Milner?
Skrtel for Kompany?
Lovren for Shawcross?
