Too soon to stop believing. And fuck City. Let’s see how they deal with the fixture pile up that is heading their way.
They have the squad to cope..
They will be back to full strength after the international break..

We lost momentum by not playing often enough when we really needed to..

In hindsight going out of the FA cup did us no favours at all..

Yes, we always build on seasons when we come second.

If we finish second I have seen this movie before...

We will have a wobble in the league next season. Half the forum, for which Brendan will be the ring leader of idiots who cite " He has proved he cannot win" will be calling for Klopp's head.

Just about then rumours will start swirling around about some of our top players fucking dogs, wanting to leave etc.

At this point some of us will be hoping that the owners will take some sensible decision and stick to Klopp inspite of the wealth of evidence available from the past for how sacking the manager almost always does not work, and also all the evidence available for this manager showing the ability to bounce back.

Just on cue, Media reports will start coming out about the Manager losing the dressing room ( I have often struggled to visualize that).

Then finally, the Manager will be sacked, players will leave, we will embark on another fucking rebuilding, and wondering "how? Only a few years ago we had the youngest starting eleven in the league, how did it come to this?"

I'd rather be in the bunch of deluded fools who believe Title is still possible this season, than be with the bunch of realists led by Brendan.

Fuck off with this manc/bluenose shite.

Would you ever fuck off with this "its the hope that kills you" bollocks.

Would you seriously prefer us to be a solid mid table club, with no real risk of relegation nor of qualifying for Europe? That would cure us of this deadly "hope".

Leicester had this model, and all their fans were blissfully happy - then the fuckers went & won the league, poor bastards - but they deserved the misery as they actually tried to win and the stars aligned for them.

Then there's the cup competitions - they are just thinly veiled assassins waiting in the shadows to pounce just when you think you have evaded hope. Is nowhere safe these days?

Anyway - its not hope its BELIEF!

I bet you went home at half time in Istanbul.
Actually no...

Though we did contemplate it as things where getting a bit rowdy in the bar we were in..

Tempers flying etc, fights, grown men crying..

Completely different at the end of the game, came out drenched in Beer, and 'man love' with blokes that previously wanted to kill each other at half time was the order of the day and high on the reichter scale..

Football is a beautiful thing.. when you are winning..

Do you see any similarities with some of the things you’ve been saying? There is a lot of crying from some posters here.

It’s only a bloody point with just under of quarter of the season to go. We’ve been chasing city at parts this season, others we’ve been ahead. There is no need to be giving up now.

Any other season id agree

The bar has been raised as far as city are concerned. They could easily win their 9 remaining games..

The thing is a point against UTD and Everton would be acceptable in seasons gone by when challenging for the Title..

That point behind to someone like city may be a huge problem. It's essentially 2 points with the goal difference.. We no longer have that 'buffer zone' you require when challenging a team like city for the Title

The only slip I can forsee is them against UTD.. That means we have to win every game.. On current form, I just cannot see that happening from our perspective

The 5-0 win helped the GD issue and IF we hit top form in the next 2 games we can make a great improvement on that. City aren’t smashing teams at the moment and fixture congestion can bring up strange results.

I’ll bet city are equally fuming about the palace and Newcastle games as we are about West Ham and Leicester. Tottenham Bottlespurs could have a massive impact on the title race which is strange considering that they may end up in the Europa positions.

They could do, but they've already lost once to City this season whilst having one shot on goal. And in recent weeks they've lost to Chelsea and Burnley whilst scraping a draw with the arse. I wouldn't bank on those shithouses doing anyone a favour.

I don't think that THIS team, with THIS manager and the HUGE investment that has been made in to it (along with more this summer, hopefully), will go the same way that previous Liverpool teams have when coming 2nd. If we come second this year, I am 100% confident that we'll be even more driven to do it next season, and with a tweak or two in midfield, I think we're right there...

Did you foresee a slip for them against Leicester, Crystal Palace or Newcastle?
That won't happen again.. Guarantee it...

He has them playing disciplined.. Grinding out 1 nil wins rather than going gung ho, which they have been going most of the season..

They have champions elect written all over them..

They struggled to beat West Ham with a soft pen getting them over the line. Easily ? No.

They got the 3 points and continue to do so... We've drawn 4 in our last 6..

Yes, and there was a stretch before that where they lost 3 outta 5 or 6 against teams that they should have battered, whilst we swept all before us...

Momentum changes. Hot streaks cool. And poor runs end. It's far from over. There's a quarter of the bloody season remaining, for goodness sake.
