Will we qualify ?

We've had no Europe so should be more fresh than our main rivals come the end of the season, and have already played some of our toughest fixtures, so yeah. We will, but just.

Win tonight will set us up for the rest of the season and hopefully start to open up a gap between the chasing pack. I reckon we will do it.

But we're suffering a lot of injuries - something we wouldn't if we were as fresh as we expect us to be.

IMO it's too soon to call this one for definite one way or the other. There's a group of teams, currently numbering four (us, the blueslime, Tottenham and the Mancs), challenging for 4th and there's also time for other sides to get in the mix. We've got as much of a chance as any of the rest though, and that'll still be my view whatever tonight's result turns out to be.

I'm scared shitless.
No matter what bollocks Rodgers has come out with about us not being reliant on 1 or 2 individuals and being a much improved team, we're absolutely shot eat defending and can't score at all without the brilliant Suarez and Sturridge.
Those two are the ones that will make the difference either way.
Especially Suarez. If he's knackered, that's us finished in terms of the top 4.

I just tried to look at Everton's fixture list on the BBC football site but can't find all the links to the leagues and results that I thought were at the top of the page of the main football page. Am I forgetting something, or have the BBC fcuked it all up again in yet another change for change sake?

The BBC website as a whole is completely fucked.

It's a shite design aesthetically, & loads of bits don't work properly.

Whoever thought of that yellow & black colour scheme needs taking out the back & shooting.

I still can't believe that Spurs are level on points with us. They've been an absolute eyesore most times I've seen them this year and have had enough luck and dubious penalties to last them a decade.

That's pretty ominous really. If they start playing well (as much as they've had an upturn under Sherwood they've been fortunate with it) then we're in trouble.

I think they defended that colour scheme by saying it was based on feedback from visually impaired people using the site. I felt an urge to log a comment on the blog they ran at time saying it had better work because they will be creating millions more visually impaired people if they continue with it.

I

Happens to every team, including us. It's just more likely to happen later in the season, but less likely to happen to us. It's not a fact or a prediction, just the odds, for obvious reasons.

The BBC site is brilliantly designed and still looks relatively fresh, which is impressive given how much things have moved on since it's last refresh.

I don't think we are as dependent on Luis as you think. We were doing great guns for the first five games without him. Yes, we do need him, but we can survive without him for a few games too. I think the Christmas period and that Villa result has knocked us all back a little confidence wise. But the good news is that under the Irish manager, we usually bounce back well from a disappointing result or two.

if united pip us to it please send someone round to check on me.

Maybe I'm thinking too much of the horror show against Villa. Maybe I don't have confidence in our defence, especially our second choice defence, but I cannot see us making 4th.
