Agger?

Did he pick up a knock?
I don't know, I'm pretty sure she said Agger, Gerrard, Cole, Shelvey were all out. It hasn't been mentioned again, though.

Liverpool will make a late decision on Steven Gerrard, who missed England duty because of a groin problem.

Martin Kelly should feature despite an ankle injury but Martin Skrtel is doubtful with a thigh problem, and Jonjo Shelvey is out for three months.

Wigan defender Gary Caldwell could play with a mask to protect the cheekbone he fractured earlier this month.

Republic of Ireland midfielder James McCarthy, who missed international duty to rest his ankle, should be available.

Liverpool

Doubtful: Cole (knee), Gerrard (groin), Kelly (ankle), Skrtel (thigh)
Injured: Carroll (thigh), Shelvey (knee), Spearing (foot)

Wigan

Doubtful: G Caldwell (fractured cheekbone), Figueroa (hamstring)

How about playing Kelly in a back 3 with Aurelio and Johnson wingbacks?
I'm told 4-4-2 Doc

Suarez and Kuyt then?

*rubs hands together like Micky Owen when we all loved him*

Pacheco or Suso on the bench (seeing Shelvey is out too)?

Hope to God Skrtel is fit if Agger isn't playing. Carra and Soto are both not exactly blessed with pace.

442 eh?

Reina

Kelly Skrtel Carra Johnson

Maxi Meireles Lucas Aurelio

Kuyt Suarez

Actually knowing Kenny, I can see Wilson playing next to Carra if Skrtel is injured aswell.

*gets excited*

That's not a very inspiring side, is it? Possibly the least physically intimidating midfield quartet of any Liverpool side in history.

I agree, but there aren't anyone else available. I'd like to keep Kuyt upfront while we wait for Carroll.

Rumours on another site that Agger played wednesdays international friendly with a small injury and made it worse. Didn't tell the club about it before he left that he carried a small knock. Second time he's done this?

good man

Lucas is the Bionic Man. Who would have believed that he'll outlive 2 managers and make it to a 100 games.

I'd give him the armband to lead the team out. Why not? At least he is committed and moving in the right directions with performances.

Did Pepe captain the team a few times? Now he is talking up a move away or at least insinuating it?

I never expect us to win. Ever. It makes it easier to digest when Lucas gives away a 90th minute penalty.

Yeah, I wouldn't make Pepe captain after that.

I'm sick to death of players holding the club to ransom (Owen, Mascherano and Torres). Ungrateful gits IMO.
If Owen and Mascherano's career are anything to go by, Nandough is headed for disaster. The future doesn't augur well for.

Dalglish has the right attitude playing down any move away for Pepe. Didn't he do the same thing for Nandough before fucking him off? The message is clear, you'll leave on our terms.

also, and more importantly, you dont jinx it by predicting easy wins.

That too. The only time I'm ever happy to be wrong. The only time I can ever be wrong, full stop.

DRAW!

Rumours from TLW is that Skrtel will be fit, Agger and Gerrard are out and Suarez starts.
