The ref is an utter cunt.

Agree

Suarez has been outstanding with his attiutde and work rate.
Deserves a goal

Suarez is being fouled from pillar to post but should learn to stay on his feet.

Pile on the pressure lads and get us the 3 points. We need it.

Who is gonna be a hero for us?

Much better from us for the last five minutes.
Come on!!!!!!!!!!!

How the fuck did Caldwell not get a second yellow there?
[/quote]

Referee's given them everything he could today.

Both teams look tired.
It will eitehr take a piece of brilliance or a major error to determine this one.

Bugger.
Deserved all three points in the end though the way we started the second half before conceeding I almost expected worst

We were poor today and missed Agger's attacking play from the back and Gerrard's influence on the game.

Disappointing.

Blatantly offside goal for Wigan (about 2 yards).
Caldwell should have been sent off for the most obvious of second yellows.
Suarez hits the woodwork twice.

Still, we weren't good enough.

They normally do well against us.
Diame and N'Zogbia did very well for them.
I hate it when teams come to Anfield and make us attack the kop end in the first half >🙁

Lucas had one of those games where he looked shite! Johnson was playing with England form... And Maxi should just be snipered by someone... anyone... the most infuriating player ever!

aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh

That was frustrating. But I think we saw a bit about the quality we have in the squad and what KD and SC have to work with.

We were both unlucky and poor, hardly a recipe for success.
Simply too many players injured or tired after the international break.

Suarez impressed me with his battling. So nice to have a forward with something to prove.

Otherwise, this wasn't unexpected, we had a weak team out, and we know we need more goal threat. Still thought we did well to really get at them at the end, and we stuck to a good way of trying to play football. Our high line shows we have a manager that knows that the difference between a draw and a loss is less than between a win and a draw.

I love Maxi. He is a great player. Pace, dynamic, always a threat, quality set pieces...

I really felt sorry for Suarez today having to put up with the utter dross surrounding him. After watching Aurelio and Maxi waste freekicks, he finally gets his chance at rattles it off the bar. Who knows what would have happened if he's had the first 2 as 'sighters'.

We have some real shit attacking players in our squad. The sooner they all get fucked off, the better. At least Kenny will know what a good attacking player is.

We don't have a fucking squad.

One player get's injured and we're fucked.

Yeah, this game kinda sums up our problem: no strength in depth.

Agger, Gerrard, Meireles, Kuyt. That's 1/3 of the XI unavailable for the full 90 and the subs' impact - or rather, lack of, was embarrassing.

Yeah, I agree with all that. The reality is our squad is desperately thin. Our bench today was just pathetic, and we had an incredibly lightweight midfield four on the pitch. Serious investment needed in the summer if we're going to make the most of Kenny's managerial brilliance next season.

Agreed. We were without two players crucial to the style Kenny wants to play, many of our players were knackered, their goal was well offside and we hit the woodwork twice. It was just one of those games... Under RH, it would trigger a run for three straight losses, but I anticipate Kenny using the positives to keep us going in the right direction.
