It's hard to say. This side doesn't have a big goal scorer, Rodgers side had Suarez AND a peak Sturridge. It's tough to label that side a one man team because Sturridge, Henderson, Coutinho, Gerrard and even the likes of Enrique chipped in with goals. We pressed then too as a team.
Someone said that team had to win by clear margins, isn't that the case with this team? Both sides had their share of narrow results but also many games like the one at the weekend. As for Suarez carrying us, we can argue that Mane has been a catalyst for this side too. Goals against isn't too far off being the same, but I do feel we're a bit better defensively organised in open play, while our inability to defend set pieces continues to hinder us - we're just less likely to get caught on the break, as Rodgers's side often did.
One obvious like for like in both sides is Gerrard for Milner, both are worth their weight in gold for pens and set pieces.
