And it would be amiss not to congratulate Claret and Blue on a great win.
How do you feel about your chance of cracking the top 4 this year?
More confident than last season?

Yes mate, much more confident. There were understandable reasons why we dropped out so dramatically last season.
The first reason was that we lost our two best players in Laursen and Carew and didn’t have anything like decent back up.
Losing those two players and Ashley Young being out for 3 or 4 games coincided with a sequence of games against Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, Man Utd, Everton and you lot. At the start of that run of games we were 7 points ahead of Arsenal and 2 points in front of Chelsea. By the time we came out of that sequence of games between 21/02 and 12/04, Arsenal had won 5, drawn 2 (they actually only lost one game after 1st December last season) and were 8 points in front.
I’d be worried if we lost Agbonlahor this season but we have decent squad players everywhere else in the team.
We haven’t got Europe to worry about this season but do have a league cup semi-final against Blackburn to look forward to. I don’t think we’re anything like nailed on for a CL spot but I do think we’ll challenge because I expect us to get 70+ points.
Maybe the most important thing is that in Martin O'Neill we have a real proper manager and this is his squad now.

You sure about that? I remember you saying that you were gonna finish second last season? 😛

Good spot. I started the season saying I thought we'd be in the top four within a couple of seasons but then went and posted on here on 19/02 just before we played Chelsea. That was monumentally bad timing wasn't it?
