And it would be amiss not to congratulate Claret and Blue on a great win.

How do you feel about your chance of cracking the top 4 this year?
More confident than last season?

Nice call. Didn't see that one coming...

We closed a bigger gap in 1989. Mind you, we had a much better side then.

Understatement of the decade.

Higuain is quickly becoming one of the best players in the world - makes it even more disappointing that we missed out on him this summer ...

That's quite cheered me up, not that it makes any difference to us really, but it's always nice to see Baconface and his Mancs beaten

NUS is an excellent place to study AI! Enjoy your stay there, if you're board you can always come up to KL 😉
Thanks mate. Yeah, I'll probably visit Kuala Lumpur during my stay. Planning on travelling as much as possible.

Any must-go-to's?
I'm Singaporean 😉.

I was from NUS too, good school but maybe it's a pretty stressful place to be.

I have graduated almost 4 years ago now, and the place has changed alot.

One thing you should enjoy in Singapore if you enjoy clubbing would be Zouk, you cant miss that. Let me know when it's closer, I'll let you know where else to go around here.

PM me when you're in KL,mate.

I know we moan and bitch about Alonso leaving, and obviously having to field Lucarse is one of the reasons we've been shit, however it is *nothing* compared to the 'Ronaldo-shaped hole' in the United team
Just a pity they respond by sitting 2nd and 3 pts off 1st at xmas while we sit 13 pts adrift.

I had money on a combo with Chelsea and United not winning.

That was lovely.

Yes mate, much more confident. There were understandable reasons why we dropped out so dramatically last season.

The first reason was that we lost our two best players in Laursen and Carew and didn’t have anything like decent back up.

Losing those two players and Ashley Young being out for 3 or 4 games coincided with a sequence of games against Chelsea, Spurs, Man City, Man Utd, Everton and you lot. At the start of that run of games we were 7 points ahead of Arsenal and 2 points in front of Chelsea. By the time we came out of that sequence of games between 21/02 and 12/04, Arsenal had won 5, drawn 2 (they actually only lost one game after 1st December last season) and were 8 points in front.

I’d be worried if we lost Agbonlahor this season but we have decent squad players everywhere else in the team.

We haven’t got Europe to worry about this season but do have a league cup semi-final against Blackburn to look forward to. I don’t think we’re anything like nailed on for a CL spot but I do think we’ll challenge because I expect us to get 70+ points.

Maybe the most important thing is that in Martin O'Neill we have a real proper manager and this is his squad now.

Good win for the Villains.

What pleases me the most though is the sheer unpredictability of the Season so far.

We were tipped to battle for the title and has more or less already been ruled out (not by me obviously) by a lot of fans and experts and probably rightly so even.

Chelsea were and is tipped to cruise but when was the last time they went on a four games run without enjoying a win? I know their encouter against Nicosia midweek didn't really matter but still. And they've also lost 3-1 away to Wigan. That's not by any means 'cruise-control'.

Arsenal were dismissed by most pre-Season loosing the likes of Adebayor and Toure but have impressed yet again but are now enjoying a tough patch.

United were tipped to struggle big time without Ronaldo and Tevez but have so far silenced those critics. Maybe they are now starting to show a few signs of those expected cracks in their armor most had expected?

Spurs were tipped to be Spurs - completely medicore, winning one week lossing the other at home to Bolton - but they have started very well having hammered Wigan 9-1 as well as credited some good wins against e.g. us. They could still end up to be the Spurs we all know so well mind, which this weekend results may have inicated.

Villa seems to have refound some of the quality from their start of last Season and are certainly no pushovers. A win at OT will do them a lot of good just as their win at Anfield did.

Citeh has yet again failled big time to impress in a Season where they were actually tipped for a CL-spot by many.

Please let the unpredictability continue and let us hammer the Gunners soundly tonight and move in slightly on the leaders.

The fat lady hasn't sung just yet.
