I hope Atletico win the league. It'd be nice to see someone, *anyone*, else win that title.

I also really dislike what's happened to Madrid the last 10 years. They've kind of lost any kind of identity and just become completely charmless. I think it started with the Beckham signing and went from there. At least before that there was always a certain flamboyance about them, a bit of wackiness, even in their mega-money signings. Now it's just relentless efficiency. Nothing to fire the imagination.

As part of the economic sanctions against Russia I think Chelsea should be confiscated from Abramovich and given back to Ken Bates.
