Spurs Sunderland

Spurs leading 2-1 after going behind against the run of play in the first half.

Bale just booked for diving in the box. Harsh card but he made a meal of the contact so can't really dispute the yellow officially.

Bale doing his post dive interview, in fairness there was slight contact. He's been tarred with the diving brush, enjoy that Gareth you earned it.

There was contact on the bale one. But he can fuck off after what he's been up to before.

We'd be screaming for a pen if it was Suarez.

Bale has been booked 5 times in the last 18 months for diving, more than any other player.

Like Suarez there was contact at least a few of those 5 times. Seeing as he is a cunt I couldnt care less about the bookings. Enjoy it curious George.

Dont think Stoke has conceded 2 goals at home in God knows how long.
Shawcross is out today with suspension.

Thats just wrong mate. They're unbeaten in 15 games in the Premier League and not lost home in a year.

Yes but they hardly ever score, yet they managed to score 3 against us. Their not so secret plan of walloping balls into our box worked from the start, that has to do with basic defending, which we can't manage under Rogers.

It's not like we outplayed both Stoke and Villa and were unlucky to loose, we deserved both defeats. Two 3-1 defeats against Stoke and Villa, that is fekin dire.

I agree about its dire. But how can you fault Rodgers for Skrtel slipping and Agger losing his marking twice?
I think thats bizarre tbh.

It was mistakes that killed us not Rodgers defensive set up.
They scored with 3 of their 5 shots.

Of course you cant blame Rodgers for Skrtel slipping. But if Rodgers has nothing to say about our set up on corners I start to wonder who makes the calls? We have been weak defensively and of course that must at least be partly down to the manager... ROdgers has a lot to learn about defensive play. Our defensive get zero help from midfield, and we look like conceding every second shot we get.

People were welcoming Rodgers to come and make us the new Swansea, and he is getting very very close!!

Its Rodgers fault that Agger lost his man while marking a corner and a long throw in???

I give up.

It is clearly Rodgers decision to not cover the near posts on corners. Everyone knows that Stoke strength is in physical duells inside both boxes, so that we loose some is hardly surprising. The set up to limit any dangers from these duells must be down to Rodgers. It is stupiditiy to not cover the posts.

Seeing as we've havent conceded many goals from set pieces I'll go out on a limb and say that it works more than satisfactory. Fair enough about the near post, although I thought was GlenJos job.

That still doesnt make up for the fact that apperantly Rodgers has to help Agger jump or mark his man.
