Kolo is our fourth choice centre back, and as a fourth choice I think he's very good. Barring Skrtel we're effectively playing with a second choice back line, yet we're still pressing for the league, when a fourth spot challenge was the best we could have hoped for at the beginning of the season, sometimes a little perspective helps.

Exactly what I was going to say. He's playing because Sakho and Agger aren't fit. And to be fair, he's been a boss for most of the season. Ok, he fucked up big time against West Brom. I won't dispute that. But last night was a freak accident. It's something you wouldn't see at amateur level. Which is why it came as a great surprise when it happened to Kolo. Fuck the haters. Kolo has been excellent most of this season, and anyone that disagrees hasn't been watching him.

Individual errors have cost us throughout the season and two in two games that have led to goals is just unacceptable.

He'll spend the remainder of the season on the bench, and rightly so.

Nail on head. We can't afford to play someone who makes such basic errors. I see the argument that with 2 other CBs out, he is a good stand-in for those missing. But I also don't think he has added much over what someone like Wisdom would have added. Hopefully Agger will start in the FA Cup to get up to speed, although maybe subbed early? Or the other way around, and Toure starts with Agger coming on v early in second half.

Being picky here, but it's actually 2 in 3 games.

He's much better than Wisdom. God knows how bad we'd have done if Wisdom had to play as many games as Toure.
