I'd like Spurs to beat AC though. After their disgraceful antics in the first leg.

I think Stoke would have destroyed both those sides over 2 legs.
Ha.

Now that would be fun to watch

One down three more to go please.
2 down.

2 to go.

You still killed tonight !

Amidst all the drama, it's almost gone unnoticed that Roma have been battered out of the competition by Shaktar. A little surprising.

Lee Dixon just described Bendtner as "having a touch like my grandma".
He's rapidly becoming a quality pundit. Dixon, that is.
Both him and Keown (sp?) are more than decent.

I noticed it ! Thought it amusing Eduardo scored a goal for Shaktar tonight when the dopey arse Dane fluffed a chance

Yep. For a guy who was an animal on the pitch, Keown is the mirror opposite off it.

Bit of dirt by Roma in the other CL match with Howard Webb making a balls up again.
He gets confused when ManUre aren't there for him to nod through.

Keown was best when he was slapping RvN round his head.
I thought he enjoyed doing that with Viduka better.

RvP heard the whistle and knew he was offside, it's clear just because of the way he took the shot. Ridiculous position to shoot from given where he was and the space he had.

He knew he was offiside and knew he was on a yellow. He wants shooting.

Haha , I was just looking at Glen Johnson's twatter , he predicted 3-1 before the game and said something like " i guess i was right" at full time ...so now the arse fans are abusing him , calling him a Europa League nonce and telling him to fuck off as he's not even in the champs league to which he replied "haha neither are arsenal" ..haha twatter , why would you even bother if you're a pro .

just saw the stats myself, they also had something like 76% possession and way more attempts, shots etc

battered

Re: Re: Tippy Tappy Bellend-o-rama !

Never seen a good team so battered.

Unreal

The Barca/Spain national team style of football is fucking dull, isn't it? It's impressive, but it's not exciting.

It's like listening to a virtuoso rock guitarist. I'm impressed, but I don't like it.

Give me Carra sticking his studs into some horrible Mediterranean cunt's shin any day.
Barca are beautiful to watch - the passing outstanding and the use of width brilliant when mixed with through balls and unreal possession - enjoy it while you can cos I don't think we will ever see a side like this again.
Yes you will. Kenny's in the process of building it.

Fantastic stuff, if it had been 7 or 8 it would not have flattered them and it could have been.

The stats were unbelievable as Henry Winter says -
fcb had 738 passes completed to #afc's 199. #fcb 69 per cent possession

I can't find it anywhere it was on Sky after the game, but for all their nearly four times as many passes and total utter possession and domination, they hardly covered any more ground than Arsenal did.

Those little threaded killer balls into the box and the movement were sublime, and I don't usually get carries away with shit like that.

Oh and Mascher saved the day, which had they scored would have been the biggest travesty ever. I wish we still had the little twat.

regards

Every time Barcelona play a team Ian they come out and slag off said team. Theyv'e done it with us loads. That and their tapping up of players demonstrates they're one of the most disrespectful teams out there. Can't stand Wenger like but I'd like to see the gappy toothed smile wiped off Mascherano the stunted little gobshite.
They slagged us off for playing anti-football.

And by and large they were right.

Is there a team that plays pretty football that doesn't roll around every three seconds and make the referee an important figure in the game each and every time?

for all of barca's pretty football if bendtner had a decent first touch, they (barca) would be out.

for all of barca's pretty triangles and one twos all it would have taken to boot them out of europe would be one corner and one cock up near their own penalty box.

the first goal (just saw it on video) was amazing piece of skill form iniesta (control and avoid oncoming player while poor back heel from cesc) and messi!

Souness literally deserves bukkake treatment from the whole Arsenal retinue.
He was like a kid a at Christmas talking about Barca's performance.

And I swear I saw a wet spot on his pants after the game.
