He's a professional footballer that made the right choice for himself last summer. Too many fans live in some idealistic utopia. 99% of footballers don't have anywhere near the allegiance to clubs that supporters have.
[/quote]

He should have exercised more tact and thought twice about all of his "dream come true" shite.

And that 99% of footballers statistic is meaningless when it comes to Liverpool and Man Utd. There is a very good reason why the likes of Fowler, Gerrard, Reina, Torres and Carragher would never, EVER play for United.

You don't seem to understand it

I'd play for united.

Then again i'm shit and i know i'd prob score some own goals

I feel really sorry for little Michael.

He is on a "pay as you play" deal with the Scum!

He's one of the richest footballers in Britain

Still, the way his career is considered has changed dramatically over the last 5 years, and I don't think he'll be remembered as a great striker on the whole of it. Simultaneously he's managed to arrange it where he won't be remembered fondly as a great where he was great.

Is that true? Pay as you play would probably the best deal anyone can have from him.

Few days back the local newspaper run one of his quotes "I am happy to be the shadow of Rodney"....speechless....

He should die and burn in hell.

Owen suffered his first hamstring problem at the end of his first season when he was still a youngster. I often wonder whether Roy Evans was to blame for over-using him in that season.

Possibly.

I always just put it down to the fact that he had explosive pace, players who have it usually suffer more muscle injuries than those that don't (e.g. Compare Torres to Kuyt).

When Owen announced he'd finally solved his hamstring problems, he hadn't got that explosiveness any more.
