If we get Sahin and a decent winger forward, we'll be right up there challenging for 4th.

Spurs and Newcastle will finish behind us.

I think dempsey or walcott would make a right good job of us. So long as we can keep agger as well.

I have read the responses and quite frankly am a little pissed off at some of you. The way I see it is this:

1) We have proved under Kenny we can compete against the big boys.
2) We have proved under Kenny that we can create a shit load of chances against all sides.

Given the above all we need to do to progress is just win those fucking games against the so called lesser sides, in other words be consistent from game to game. This season I feel optimistic in that we have a strong willed ball winning pair in midfield with Allen, and Lucas. For this reason I actually think if we get our act together and our creative problem makers in Suarez, and SG stay fit and available for games we can challenge for the title. When as LFC have we ever said - top 4 ? I am only hearing this for the first time this season. Last season we came 8th but I don't think it was a true reflection of the teams capability - we are a lot more than that position states. Hopefully with the new manager and the new ideas being bought in - the players will be able to provide a better response.

I think if we do manage to get that Sahin guy, and Tello we will have added two more potential game changers to our team - the types of players that create chances through their creative passing or pace running with the ball at defenders. I am also hoping that Dempsey signs for us - becuase he is another of those players that gives it their all in games, and is capable of creating huge problems for opposition defences and is also creative. I hope by Christmas we are challenging for the top spot and not 4th as many of you suggest.

Liverpool FC to win everything !!!!- YEAH BABY YEAH !!!

Boo to those that aren't saying we're going to win it with aplomb.

3) We proved under Kenny that the "crossbar challenge" is actually easier than it seems.
4) We proved under Kenny that we could pay £35 Million for a player who's worth a bag of chips.

Modo - points:

(3) - is just unlucky that we hit it so many fucking times but it proves we had a shit load of shots heading the right way at least.
(4) yes we did pay for someone who is worith a bag of chips but that is not the transfer policy we have in place now is it - that has already changed, and as for the transfer itself - I think it was forced upon us in many ways.

You are pointing out negatives only - things of the past we cannot fix unless you have a time machine under your bed ? NO ? - didn't think so. We are about to start a new season with a new manager, some new players that can impact the team in a good way, and we have not lavishly overspent this transfer window. Things are looking better already to many of us. So please don't be so negative.
