Yeah, I agree. They dont really need him. Paying 24 mill for a 29 year old who has got 1 year left on his contract. Looking past his excellent season last year, his goalscoring record in the league is pretty average.

I'm guessing no one will lift an eyelid in regards that they've overpaid. Quality player mind.

Hope he gets injured from the start just to fuck off Fergie.

fergies lost the plot, van persies a good player but theyre sorted up front, the improvement he'll give to them will be negligible. they really should be spending money in midfield

It means a rival for fourth spot is weakened, and a potential champion has strengthen, which is irrelevant. That's fine by me.

And, FWIW, I think he'll be a decent signing for United. He would be a good signing for anyone. He's brilliant.

I don't think it's such a blind spot really, they're a good side regardless and will play good football and make average-on-paper players, play like stars. The idea of Rooney and RVP as a partnership, I'd imagine, would be a pretty mouthwatering prospect.

And besides, who said that's the end of their transfer business?

Assumption aplenty there, people have moaned about a lack of activity from us every time it's gone quiet. Now United have signed RVP it's suddenly their window shut and a baffling deal? Please.

It's an odd pick up for Manure ... See the difference between RvP and Agger? Arsenal will not win the league this year, or come close.

Their chief exec let slip they would be spending 40m, by all accounts that's now spent.

After everything we've been through I wont laugh at any Arsenal fans. Alonso, Mascher and Torres.
