he will eat everton into liquidation.
LOL - why is he so fucking fat ? Whenever I make an effor to get fit and all - I lose weight very quickly but that guy is a pro, and yet he looks so unhealthy on the pitch. I will be glad to get rid of him, as I think when he cannot cope in a game he gets a bit thuggish and does the wild tackles. I think he will leave.

Madrid buying Modric is fucking baffling aswell.
They are loaning out Sahin and then signing a like for like at 28m?
Why in fuck!!!

Proper football manager shit.

Ian Ayre was in Heebies tonight. Apparently there should be transfer news on Friday.

There is big news on the transfer front in Germany. Bayern Munich has finally reached an agreement with Athletic de Bilbao to sign its Spanish international Javi Martínez, according to reports in German newspaper ‘Bild’. The club will pay a fixed fee of €30 million, plus a further €10 million in performance-based variables over the course of the five-year contract the midfielder will sign with the Bavarian outfit.

The deal will be the most expensive in the history of the Bundesliga. Aged just 23, Javi Martínez is a World Cup and European Championship winner with Spain and has cemented his status as one of the biggest talents in Spanish football. Both Real Madrid and Barcelona have previously expressed interest in adding him to their ranks on various occasions, but in the end the German team has landed its man.

Javi Martínez’s signing will be the icing on the cake for last year’s Champions League runners-up, which has a star-studded squad hell-bent on regaining its place at the top of the German football pyramid, having been ousted by Borussia Dortmund for the last two years. Javi Martínez has been Jupp Heynckes’ top target for the last few months, but clinching a deal has proven a struggle owing to the high asking price demanded by Bilbao, which was unwilling to part ways with one of its main men on the cheap.

Martinez and Gustavo is a solid midfield pairing with plenty of runners around them. I love Bayern and Martinez is a cracking signing for anyone.

Happy he didn't go to Barca and fill in at CB. I know he plays at CB quite often but I prefer him a midfielder.

Agreed. I'm still thinking Barca need a proper center half though. Mascherano and/or Busquest just don't cut the mustard there anymore in important games and they'll come across as very naive if they think they can get away with it again this year if puyol cant stay fit. The bundesliga should be fun again this year. Wonder does this mean they'd listen to offers for Schweinsteiger?!

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers says he hopes to learn in the next 48 hours whether he will be successful in landing two more transfer targets. Rodgers has been heavily linked with loan moves for Barcelona winger Cristian Tello and Real Madrid midfielder Nuri Sahin and, while he would not name any names, he confirmed that new arrivals could be in the offing. "I am hopeful we can bring in one or two more to help the group here," said Rodgers on Thursday. "And hopefully we will find out in the next 48 hours." But Rodgers also pointed out that he was not in a position to throw money around indiscriminately. "These things take time," he said. "There has been a lot of great work going on behind the scenes enquiring about players but the reality is we didn't have the money this year. "We had a certain budget we had to work within and, even to get those one or two players, we had to move one or two out. That is something which doesn't worry or frustrate me, it is the real world we are in here. "If we don't have that money we have to be different in different ways, and one way we can hopefully gain an edge is the way we play, controlling and dominating games. Everyone wants the money but you can't always have the money."

Arsenal making their move for Biglia apparently according to SSN
They are also saying the Gooners are still looking to bring in Sahin

Ooh doubt it. Plus the Schwein would hardly leave. It's seems hard to get quality German players to leave the Bundesliga. Ozil and Podolski have done so recently though.
