The not confirmed, it's really only a rumour transfer thread ;Summer 2012

What?

What are moaning about then? The fact we didn't match the valuation because we can't afford it, or the fact we didn't match the price because we can't even beat Spurs (who finished above us) to a player?

And you don't think we have valuations of players? It seems we didn't last season, it's pretty obvious we've been trying to learn from our mistakes and consciously not fall into the same trap. So of course we have limitations. Hahahahahahahaha, and you have the gall to post a stupid smiley to make some condescending point that the idea of clubs putting caps on what they think a player is worth as being some kind of inhouse bullshit. Get fucked.

You don't know what you want, other than to act like a moaning obnoxious dimwit at every opportunity. I said it wouldn't take long with you, and it didn't.

Predictable cunt.

Last summer (like most of transfer windows of late) we brought awful players.

I hope, that is the mistake we learn this summer.

p.s. Go outside and have a walk or play with your kid, you seem too stressed for an Internet forum.

Dempsey deal hinging on us agreeing to get rid of Aquilani, the powers that be don't want a repeat of last Summer with us overpaying for a Premiership proven player. As highly rated as he is by 'the club' we won't pay over what we value him at which is likely to be £7m tops.

The club are looking to bring in Allen with a cap of £15m (which is believed to be a clause anyway), with room for loans the other way. This is regardless of any other deals, we want this one tied up and don't particularly need to sell to buy.

We want rid of one or two more of our bigger earners but Rodgers is happy to use Cole, Downing and Adam if he has to, we would be open to offers on the last two, Cole we don't believe will be financially viable as a sale due to his wages and the limited fee we're likely to receive, though we're willing to accept a fee in the region of £5m which would pay his remaining wages of around £1m and give us some some much needed transfer funds. Rodgers rates him though.

Rodgers has been impressed with Pacheco (and Cole), he wants to give Sterling a chance but still has concerns re his readiness to play a part, a loan is still an option and will be decided in due course.

The club are looking into a few other players for different positions, a winger may not necessarily be high on the agenda, Rodgers/the club wants Dempsey and if we move Carroll on then this (a winger/wide forward) may be a possibility, but right now he's happy that we're moving in the right direction and feels a few players already at the club may provide depth in attacking positions

We're open to strengthening the goalkeeper position and also left back, to provide competition to Enrique. Rodgers wants to use his contacts to loan out a few players over here, notably the likes of Robinson and Wilson.

Under no circumstances does Rodgers want to lose Agger, Skrtel or Suarez, he sees them as key to our success, though obviously a transfer request is out of our hands.

That's what I've heard today, from a lad I used to get scraps of info from, take it or leave it. Nothing seems too imminent at the moment.

Thanks for the info.
The only things that would make me doubt its credibility is the bit that says he rates pacheco . If that were the case then surely he'd be in match squad tomorrow nite.

I'm with you, it's just that Reina is 30 and we seem to be in desperate need of cash.
Granted I haven't seen much of Butland.
It's perceived that we're in need of cash contrary to FSG saying cash is available if the right player is found (granted they could be lying). Besides, our defence is good so don't change it. There's more dead wood to get rid off first.

Well, it worked for Man city buying Hart as an eventual replacement for Given.
But in reality it would most likely turn into another Carson or Kirkland.

What are you talking about ?

Don't you know keepers get better with age ? Carson and Kirkland must be fucking brilliant by now.

I agree, I saw Butland 3 times last season when he was on loan at Cheltenham and he made mistakes in each game, 2 of his mistakes led to goals. He was certainly nowhere near as impressive as Hart was at that age and at that level.

Keepers generally do, they're peak age on average is a bit later than that of a defender. Going off countless cases and not just that of Joe Hart.

Players often get better with age, I know that goes against your brilliant philosophy, but they do, it's called EXPERIENCE.
