You both know I am not allowed to discuss that subject and I would be most obliged if you didn't bring it up.
cmon count, we're all buddies here, im sure nothing would get out

just put your head on my shoulder and loudly whisper into this perfectly innocent electronic bow tie

Sahin would be a very interesting bit of business. He really can play and much more so in a team with less directness than Real. He loves the ball at his feet and knows his way around a defender too. I like him a lot. The Dortmund version at least.

The prospect of landing a cultured young midfielder on a free transfer could cause a transfer tug-of-war between Liverpool and Chelsea, as they could be set to battle it out over Sporting Lisbon player Diogo Rosado. With the attacker keen to make a move to the Premier League, talkSPORT's Transfer Spotlight has more info on the player...
Name: Diego Jorge Rosado
Date of birth: 21 February 1990
Birthplace: Peniche, Portugal
Position: Attacking midfielder
Club: Sporting Lisbon
International appearances: Three appearances for Portugal U21
What's the latest?
Rosado impressed during a loan spell at Portuguese first division side Feirense this year and both Liverpool and Chelsea are said to be keen on the player. With his Sporting Lisbon contract now up, either of the two clubs could grab him on a free transfer and it's thought he's desperate for a move to the Premier League. Both English sides will have to compete with Benfica however, who are also interested in signing the midfielder.
Did you know?
1) Rosado is a product of Sporting Lisbon's youth academy, joining the Portuguese giants as a 10-year-old. The attacker was considered one of the most promising stars in the Sporting youth ranks.
2) The player was loaned out to third division side Real Sport Clube, where he made his professional debut in 2009. In his first season as a pro he managed 15 appearances and one goal.
3) Rosado made his Portuguese top-flight debut during a loan spell with Feirense in 2011. The midfielder impressed in his 17 appearances, scoring two goals. His second of the season was an equaliser during the final game of the 2011/12 campaign against Gil Vicente. Gil responded with two more goals however, and Feirense were sent down a division.
4) Speculation suggested that Italian side Genoa had signed the midfielder to a pre-contract agreement due to activate in July, but sources close to the player have denied the deal.
5) Rosado has a strong record for the Portuguese national team at youth level. Between 2007 and 2009 he was a permanent feature of the Under 17 team, playing 27 games and scoring five. The midfielder became part of Portugal's Under 21 side in 2011, making his debut in a 2013 UEFA European Under 21 Championship qualifier against Moldova

Has anyone heard anything about that David Villa on loan rumour that's knocking probably a load of rubbish, but that would be awesome if it happened.

Liverpool make move for Fiorentina defender

Liverpool are hoping to secure a deal to sign Fiorentina defender Juan Manuel Vargas.
Vargas, 28, has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield and reports in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport claim a deal could be finalised in the next week.
The Merseyside club are hopeful that Alberto Aquilani's potential move to the Italian side will work in their favour and can speed up the negotiations.
Brendan Rodgers is still looking to bring in at least three more players as he looks to build his own squad and make them genuine contenders for a top four finish.
Liverpool's new boss wants to add more competition to his squad and feels Vargas would be an excellent addition.
Vargas can operate down the left hand side in both defence and midfield and would welcome the opportunity to play in the Premier League.

I read that the powers that be at Fiorentina weren't happy with his condition when he came back for pre season training. After seeing what he looks like normally i hate to think what shape he's in now.

we paid for henderson, downing and carroll? why not pay over the odds for another British talent? He'll probably be another Kirkland!
This is a different manager with a different strategy though. We'd need to pay about £10M to get him, and he's completely unproven.

bad idea.

Dempsey deal hinging on us agreeing to get rid of Aquilani, the powers that be don't want a repeat of last Summer with us overpaying for a Premiership proven player. As highly rated as he is by 'the club' we won't pay over what we value him at which is likely to be £7m tops.

The club are looking to bring in Allen with a cap of £15m (which is believed to be a clause anyway), with room for loans the other way. This is regardless of any other deals, we want this one tied up and don't particularly need to sell to buy.

We want rid of one or two more of our bigger earners but Rodgers is happy to use Cole, Downing and Adam if he has to, we would be open to offers on the last two, Cole we don't believe will be financially viable as a sale due to his wages and the limited fee we're likely to receive, though we're willing to accept a fee in the region of £5m which would pay his remaining wages of around £1m and give us some some much needed transfer funds. Rodgers rates him though.

Rodgers has been impressed with Pacheco (and Cole), he wants to give Sterling a chance but still has concerns re his readiness to play a part, a loan is still an option and will be decided in due course.

The club are looking into a few other players for different positions, a winger may not necessarily be high on the agenda, Rodgers/the club wants Dempsey and if we move Carroll on then this (a winger/wide forward) may be a possibility, but right now he's happy that we're moving in the right direction and feels a few players already at the club may provide depth in attacking positions

We're open to strengthening the goalkeeper position and also left back, to provide competition to Enrique. Rodgers wants to use his contacts to loan out a few players over here, notably the likes of Robinson and Wilson.

Under no circumstances does Rodgers want to lose Agger, Skrtel or Suarez, he sees them as key to our success, though obviously a transfer request is out of our hands.

That's what I've heard today, from a lad I used to get scraps of info from, take it or leave it. Nothing seems too imminent at the moment.

it's most likely not going to happen but i'd love for us to be after a top forward to play in the 3 with suarez and borini (if we play that formation). Guess we'll have to make do with downing , cole and carroll if he stays .
