After having to watch them on saturday i fucking hate all of them - any more games like that and most of us over 40s will die soon.

I felt let down by him but I don't really think smugness was the problem. If anything it was the opposite - he struck me as a wuss who wouldn't have had the confidence to be smug.

He needed to grow a pair. He rose above his station, realized it, and cowered until he could go back.

Phillipe Degen was proof there's no such thing as a free transfer. Injured most of the time and then we he was fit we wished he wasn't. Useless waste of space. Rafa brought him and Dossena in in the same transfer window, and I have to say, I don't think I can think of two worse LFC FBs/ And whilst Dossena was shite, at least he gave us some memories, with absolutely cracking goals against Utd and Madrid.
