Fabio and Zaha on their way to Cardiff on loan apparantly. Good sigings by Solskjaer, although Fabio is the worst one of the twins.

Their agent said both Fabio and Rafael will leave this summer. Utd are going to have a massive transfer window this summer in terms of outgoings and signings.

According to L'Equipe Roma want to sign Javier Pastore, who has struggled to live up to his €40million price tag at PSG.

LIVERPOOL MAKE LATE MOVE TO TRUMP NAPOLI FOR JORGINHO

Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Wed, 01/15/2014 - 07:25

Liverpool have made a late bid to trump Napoli for Hellas Verona midfielder Jorginho.
Sportmediaset says Napoli had hoped to wrap up a deal for Jorginho yesterday for around €7.5 million. However, talks stalled as Liverpoolmade contact with Verona in the afternoon.
Liverpool scouts were in Verona on the weekend to see Napoli's comfortable win and left impressed by Jorginho's performance.
This has led to Liverpool making an approach to Hellas Verona yesterday about discussing terms for the Italy U21 international.

Jorginho seems talented but he has played only for 6 months in SERIE A so not sure about it. But Badu has surely played there for long time now , i guess from last 2-3 seasons now. I think he has been linked with us previously also

The Brazilian was thought to be close to a move to Serie A side Napoli, having been linked with a number of Italian sides, but it seems that Liverpool have now also thrown their hat into the ring.
Reports in Portugal suggest that the Reds had scouts present for Porto's match against Benfica on Sunday and the Fernando was the player being monitored.
Fernando's contract is set to expire next summer and there had been speculation that the 26-year-old could be available for a cut-price fee.
But Liverpool will have to act quickly if they are to secure a deal with Fernando's agent, Antonio Araujo, hinting that his client was close to agreeing an extension with Porto.
Araujo said: “We’ve come to an agreement with Porto.

“The only thing that is missing are the details. Once they’re agreed we’ll sign.”
It is possible that Araujo's statement is purely a tactic to encourage teams to step up their interest in Fernando, and even if true, a new contract would not necessarily preclude a move.
It would, however, alleviate the pressure on Porto to sell for a reduced fee which could see Liverpool and others priced out of a move for the Brazil Under 20 star.
Fernando has been with Porto since 2007 and has played over 200 games for the club, including 14 this season.

How many CMs are we going to buy? If one I guess we're buttering up some second choices. I wonder who figures on our list and in what order?

The Badu link has been rubbished by many on twitter, thank fuck.

We've been consistently linked to Reges (though his contract situation suggests his agent is pretty active) and latterly Jorginho. M'Vila stuff seems to have gone quiet (so maybe he;s the one!)

I'm not sure he is cut out for English football - he seems to have his head in the clouds most of the time

[article=http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/nemanja-matic-set-for-medical-as-chelsea-snub-benficas-request-for-kakuta-and-romeu-9060850.html]Nemanja Matic has arrived in London to undergo a medical before completing his £21m transfer from Benfica to Chelsea.

The Serbian international is set to sign a five-a-half year contract and will be available to make his debut against Manchester United on Sunday.

Matic made just three appearances for Chelsea in his first spell at the club before being traded in 2011 as part of the £25m deal which saw David Luiz go the other way.

The 25-year-old is convinced he can make a bigger impact this time and said: “When I first went to Chelsea I was very young and there were great players in my position.

“To be honest, I really had little chance to play back then. Now it's different. I'm 25; I'm not the same player who left Chelsea. I'm sure he [Roman Abramovich] knows that. Now I have the opportunity to go back and work with one of the best managers in the world.”

As Standard Sport revealed yesterday, Benfica asked for two Chelsea players in return to add more value to the deal. One of those was Gael Kakuta and it is believed the other was midfielder Oriol Romeu, who is currently on loan at Valencia, but their request was refused.[/article]

Weird. I'd have no qualms offloading those 2 players if it can save a couple of millions - especially Kakuta. Mikel to leave next season?

Essien's been linked with a loan move to AC Milan too.

After Holtby, Capoue's been linked with Napoli and now Chadli's apparently itching for a move.

[article=http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/nacer-chadli-eyes-tottenham-exit-9061050.html]Nacer Chadli wants to leave Tottenham to save his World Cup ambitions with Belgium.

The £7million signing from FC Twente has struggled since moving to White Hart Lane, making just seven Premier League starts and often being played out of position. And his agent Daniel Evrard has admitted Chadli – who has won 18 caps for Belgium - now may have to look elsewhere.

“His situation is not easy at Tottenham at the moment. The World Cup is arriving so it’s a problem,” Evrard said.

“For him to play at the World Cup it’s important so why not a loan? We haven’t spoken to Tottenham yet but I know there are clubs interested in him. There are a lot of players in the same situation who are not in the team and they want to play in the World Cup so there is a market for a lot of clubs. It’s important for him not to take any risks by going to a country he doesn’t know well.”

Despite his struggle to adapt to life in England, the 24-year-old is a regular in a star-studded Belgium midfield but his lack of game-time is a concern for coach Marc Wilmots as he looks ahead to Brazill.

A return to Holland would seem the most likely destination for Chadli, who has only started once in the Premier League since Tim Sherwood was appointed to replace Andre Villas-Boas in December.

Two injuries earlier in the season have not helped him settle, although Evrard believes he was often played out of position by Villas-Boas.

He said: “Nacer had to play in a role which doesn’t suit him. They wanted him to play on the left wing and he is not exactly a winger – he prefers to play through the middle. It’s very difficult for him because we’ve not seen the best of him at Tottenham. He has big potential so he is a little bit frustrated.”

But with Lewis Holtby and Erik Lamela also thought to be keen on joining Jermain Defoe on his way out of Spurs, it remains to be seen whether Sherwood will allow him to leave in this transfer window.[/article]

And Alexander wept, for there were no more worlds to conquer.

Xavi heads to the new world in search of a fresh challenge... and the promise of coming up against other champions league legends like Djimi Traore

Heh ... very good.

I don't think he'll be quite the hit his talent deserves. Skills are probably a little too subtle for the American audience.

Yea, shame we'll never see him in the premier league . He's another in the list of I wonder how good they'd be if they came to play in England.
