@Kay Age El do you care to adjust your opinion a little bit on the world's best striker?
The Italians are frustrating and always have been. At their best they're so good that they really don't need all the theatrics. They have a good record internationally already, but IMO what they're now doing under Mankini suggests they might have won even more over the years if they hadn't been so cynical in their approach and continually prioritised defence over attack.
Doku's an excellent player already and, barring injury, should get even better. Didn't like his uncle in "Star Wars" though. 😉

I don't get Lukaku at all, every time I watch him play he's at best average and quite often dreadful. Yet he's got great stats, Morata and Higuain are the same.
Yup. He looked great in the compilation someone posted the other day but he's not had a great tournament and the odd time I've watched him he's looked off the pace both physically and mentally. Perhaps I just always catch his off days.
Nah, he's a flat track bully that usually comes up short against clever, top quality defenders that know how to minimise his physicality. I watched him closely yesterday. His movement is shocking. Just spent all game stood next to Chiellini and hoping for the best. He's your typical kid who has always been bigger, stronger and quicker than everybody else, and so hasn't really had to change or improve his game. It works against most opponents, so there is that, but he's just shy of being top, top level.
He thrives when he has space to run into, and the vast majority of that compilation was him kicking and rushing past the defenders to score as if they were children. Against better defenders, that isn't going to work.
Just remembered the time I was in my folks' house one night around 1997. Some geezer from Denmark had a few beers and thought he would ring his mate in Belfast but managed to get through to me and was asking me how he got through to me and not his mate. They used to work together.
