How many more games without a win can we go before the manager is sacked?

And yes, I know we won tonight, but it feels about as defeat-like as a victory can.

I'm losing faith as fast as water being sucked down a plughole.

Two things, Bunnyman...

1. Don't we bankrupt ourselves if we sack him?

2. Everything is actually ok, y'know. We were top of the league last Christmas, so he must be the right man for the job.

purslow emphatically says he's staying, then it cuts to keys "does tha leave some doubt?".
Utter cunt.

i'd love to knock him out.

Maybe we could get him out to the next drinikes...

I don't believe for a second that we'll sack him, no way. I keep thinking after this bad patch, something amazing is bound to follow.

It was a pitiful site watching the Liverpool players watching the last few minutes of the Lyon game, it really was. Maybe it will give them the kick up the backside they need.

please do.

Our shit owners already made the determination that it would be money well saved not to properly invest this summer. Now we're out of the CL.

If things continue for a couple games more this way, it would be a similarly stupid decision to try and save the money to sack Rafa, only for us to miss out on fourth.

Whilst we're still in touching distance of the top 4, it's safe to say Rafa is walking on very thin ice.

If we lose the upcoming derby, I think the pressure will be absolutely immense and something will give.

We have to pay him whatever, though. The only disadvantage this way is that it all goes in one day, rather than bleeding out pointlessly, week by week, for the next four years.

I'm sure you're right though: money is the only reason that Rafa is still manager of LFC.

If we don't win on Sunday surely he'll do the decent thing and walk. Losing to the blue shit on Sunday is not worth thinking about at this time.

It's his stubborness I can't stand. I still think he's a good manager, and sympathise with our injury crisis, but that's only highlighted because some of his poor purchases to fill out our squad. Also, I'm not seeing him trying to change anything with players or system. He seems all too happy to have us play 2 defensive midfielders who "control the game" from the edge of our box and have 25 shots from 40yards per game (which somehow is interpreted into "chances&quot😉. It's depressing.

as fucking if he'll walk.

Unless Rafa chooses to walk he's with us at least until the end of the season imo.

The money it will cost for us to get rid will obviously be a big factor + Not many options open to us at this stage of the season.

Or maybe we could keep paying him a weekly wage and just not let him actually manage the team. Sooner or later he'd get bored of that, and worried about his reputation, and he'd quit.

There you go! I found the solution! Who's got Purslow's email address?

From the Beeb:

I'm afraid there aren't that many missives coming in supporting Rafael Benitez and his team. For some reason, quite a lot of Manchester United and Everton fans seem to think he's doing a good job, though.

That's what they do in Italy sometimes (apparantly). If he wants all his money, he can't work for anyone else for the duration of his contract. I'm not sure if labour laws in the Uk allow that sort of thing though.

Rafa is being a prize knob cheese at the moment.

Pursuing with Lucas tonight was gay. Why not give Aquilani 30 mins and get the 2nd goal to settle things?

Plus the fact he seems so fucking disinterested, I am fed up with his mardy expression and lack of oomph. If it were me I'd lay into the players and give them a dressing down right now. Where is the passion? Some of them aren't fit to wear the shirt, it says something when Ngog was the player working the most tonight.

At present we continue with fucking Insua at leftback? WHY...... did we notspend 6 million on Dossena last season why isn't he playing? He is supposed to be international, I don't care if you think he is shite, he was never given a fair chance. Hmmm that sounds so so so familiar. Let's hope Aquilani doesn't succumb to the same!

Rafa is a twat I am afraid to say and he has got us singing along to his merry tune. Right now I hope he and the yanks fuck off next summer and let's start a fresh with someone like Rijkaard at the helm!

at this rate it'll be torres or rafa. wonder what the cheesy chief executive would say then. he may be 4 months into a new contract but he's six odd seasons into his time here.

It's contract law rather than employment law, and I'm reasonably sure it is allowed in the UK, as I've certainly heard of similar arrangements in other kinds of employment.

I can't even be bothered to tell them to f'ck off, which saddens me.

Exactly. What can we counter with?

"Yeah, well... erm... you lot are... no, that's not right. I mean, WE are.... Eh... Oh, just sod off"

There is not one single tiny teeny weeny petite mini smidgeon of a chance of him being sacked this season folks, so you can all shut the fuck up.

I know this result delights you as it helps to solidify your agenda but at least try and come up with stuff that makes a little sense. Please.
