It's come to the point where if it's 60 minutes and we've not scored, it's either going to end in a loss or a draw. A win would be a bonus.

Today is just not good enough. Today we couldn't move the feet or ball quick enough. No point to have å little possesion if you cant put their box under pressure. We have a long way to go, and the odd win combined with a decent carling cup run is not good enough.

Apart from that comical shot , i don't think joe cole was half as bad as some of you are making out , ok he wasn't great but he wasn't worse than anyone else really .Most other players would get alot more slack considering he was coming back from injury .

He's just become a means of venting for most people . Like Kewell , riise and others before .

One positive today was the defence. Reina had some dangerous passes but overall the defence was good.

Stoke deserve no credit, they are a team of shit house cunts who can't play football, they just attack people.

The referee is a Fucking cunt who had no dominance in that game. Stoke ran riot by kicking people

So what ? everyone knows that's how they play , man the fuck up and beat them . Lots of other teams do .

Why are people saying we didn't break them down? We had at least 4 golden opportunities to score in the second half. Suarez's solo effort, Johnson's effort, Skrtel's shot which ran across goal, Sterling's shot that went off the post. Might have been a few more where we just failed with the final decision-making (like Suarez shooting from an impossible angle).

We're just absolutely shit at putting the ball into the net.

I didn't think we played that bad.
The football was very positive and we were very attack minded. We fielded a very attacking team and played a team who had a lot of potential threat, yet they never actually threatened. We have a lot of youngsters/newcomers and it takes time for the team to gell.
This season is lost as far as challenging for the title or even a CL place, but I'm sure we will learn alot from this year. The youngsters will gain experience and confidence. New players will be brought to fill in the weak positions and we'll be a much better team next season.
I'm more optimistic now than I've been since that season we finished 2nd. (hope I'm not too optimistic)

I am really dissapointed by Rodgers half time/second half approach... what the hell is going on... our game clearly took us nowhere, and the plan to solve it was Cole and assaidi trying to do whatever was not working anyway. I dont expect miracles, but we must be able to do better. It was no surprise that Stoke would come out like this...

Actually just out of curiosity, I looked up how they're doing this season. Bloody hell, it's 1 W - 5 D - 1 L (to Chelsea). We should've beaten them all the same with the chances we got, but that's quite a remarkable record (they've drawn against Arsenal 0-0, Citeh 1-1 and us 0-0 so far).

It'd be nice if referees were more competent and blew up for fouls when a striker is being hugged by a defender

It fucks me off when teams in this sport base their style of play on fouling people. Defend, that's good ; attack, great! But to actively play in a way that breaks the rules is disgusting and the act of a manager with no ideas.

We tried today and we made shit subs. We played them off the park in the second half in spite of them kicking us. Cole shouldn't play for us again (he was average and hung around the centre circle... He's hardly the greatest passer)., and borini should have come on

Our form is relegation form, not just this season, this whole year.

Chelsea scored very very late aswell. They are good at the direct approach Pulis has them playing. But very frustrating that we cant break them down. Some shocking passes from the skipper today, he has got to step it up.

Think some of our young players today got a bit kicked out of the game with Stokes approach. Sterling stepped up in the 2nd half, but we shouldnt have to be look to a 17 year old kid for moments of magic.

Its insane with how much shirt pulling and holding Shawcross gets away with

Yeah I mentioned at half time that we really started getting a grip on the game only in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the first half when Sterling and Suso had overcome the initial shock of being manhandled by their bigger players. If there's a positive from this game, it's that the 2 kids will have gotten a good lesson today in how to cope with this aspect of the game at this level. To their credit, they both got accustomed to it and did well in the 2nd half.

Lets be honest here he's a egotistical, indisciplined, selfish cunt. Everything's about him.
It's his style of play over the teams, it's his stupid 70 yard pass over the right one, it's his impossible shot over a team-mates.

He's a great player and we cant have every player in the team playing it safe as we look for a moment of magic but his use of the ball and careless, selfish approach was once again evident. Doing my head in.

I fucking hate Stoke with a passion, but can understand, as a limited team, they do what they do with regard to a lot of long balls up to Crouch and playing the percentages. What fucks me off is their attitude. Shouting at players who they've just hacked down and walking around with fucking hard men attitudes when they play a cowar'ds game. If referees weren't so lenient on their border line assaults they wouldn't get away with it. Walters' challenge on Johnson pissed me off most today. He knew he was getting nowhere near the ball, but just smashed into Johnson anyway. Add that to the twice he kicked the ball away and he should've gone today, as should Huth. I'll forgive almost any challenge if there's at least a tiny effort to play the ball, but the vast majority of Stoke's had none.

You'll find i'm not the only poster on this site to call a player a cunt.

Suarez - diving cunt
Downing - shithouse cunt
Gerrard - selfish cunt which he is.

Gerrard played a beautiful pass to Johnson who should have scored. Im all for having a moan if Gerrard tries the 'harder' pass but he tried to unlock them and drove at them when the opportunity arose. We didn't lose today because Gerrard is a 'selfish cunt' (charming btw Gary), we lost because we didn't put the ball in the net.

You whole post tasted of venom and bile. Lucas was regularly called a cunt on here and it wasn't warranted. Either is calling Gerrard on this occasion. justsayingisall.

You forgot to mention Whitehead scything down Sterling on a counter, and then giving the kid a good dose of abuse after Sterling refused his help in getting up. Classy.
