Can you not remember his efforts in the 'Which Liverpool players would get into the Spanish national side' ?
Personally, i just think he's mental.

Honestly I dont mind him. I saw him do some good things last year that went unrewarded by the people meant to finish off that good work.
He had days when I wanted him and his family dead. But all players do that. I dont think he was one of our worst performers and with a different manager (dare I say one with a degree of tactical nous and savvy) I dont think he would be far from a good performer for us. He has a great first touch, excellent control, a fine cross and some pace.
I said all last season and the same stands now, IF we buy better he can sit on the bench and earn a place. I have no desire to see him go for 10m and Walcott come in for 10m. Likewise Carroll, Adam, Henderson and all the other players people want to sell.
Kuyt and Maxi were getting on so I can live with it (although not like it). I dont really WANT anyone else sold. I understand the manager will have to sell to buy given who we are, but it doesnt really represent a vision that I am all that happy with.
Downing wasnt really a massive part of our problem last season, and if Suarez and Carroll knew how to finish, he would have had about 20 assists. He did his part in the main.
