Both Daniel Agger and Martin Skrtel reached 100 games each for Liverpool Football Club against West Brom.
Skrtel/Agger: played 90 mins 5 times. Record good BUT 3 at home and all against teams outside the top 8

Skrtel/Agger: Bolton (H) 2-1, Blackpool (A) 1-2, Wolves (A) 3-0, Fulham (H) 1-0, Stoke (H, 3xCB) 2-0

Eden Hazard played in his 80th consecutive game in Ligue 1, the best run currently in France's top-flight.

Eden Hazard's rise:

Blue: Passes in attacking third per match

Green: Fouls suffered

Lead with 183 dribbles too.

Don't know what the rest means though. :-[

Ryad Boudebouz is the most prolific midfielder in Ligue 1 in 2011 with 10 goals.

Liverpool have hit the woodwork nine times in the Premier League this season, more than any other team.
After yesterday's game:

Liverpool have hit the woodwork 10 times in the Premier League this season, four more than any other side.
There could be an element of bad luck in that. And poor finishing of course!

Great stats by the way Binny - you've brought something completely new and interesting to the site with your statistical wizardry. Hats off to you mate

* Steven Gerrard is yet to begin a league match in the same team as Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.

* In ten starts together, Suarez and Carroll have contributed eight goals.

* In all competitions, Liverpool are unbeaten in seven matches since their mauling at Tottenham.

* Spurs are unbeaten in eleven matches in all competitions.

* Wolves have collected just a single point from their last seven league engagements.

Stewart Downing has hit the woodwork 3 times in the league this season; only 8 TEAMS (excl. LFC) have done so more often

Rotation, average changes for league games this season. Man U 2.8, Arsenal 2.7, Chelsea 2.4, Everton 1.9, LFC 1.4
(Rotation, changes in league games Rafa last 3 seasons: 09/10 2.5, 08/09 3.0, 07/08 3.4 changes per game)

After 10 games, only 6 teams in the EPL have more points than they did at this stage last term. (City, Newcastle, Spurs, Liverpool, Stoke)

Good news but bad that 2 other top 4 rivals fall into the same category

• Premier League only from start of 2009/10 season to present
• Excluding games against “top 6” opponents i.e. City, United, Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal
• Excluding games where Liverpool played three centre backs
• Excluding games where there was a red card before 60 minutes
• Excluding games where one of the centre backs has gone off injured before 60 minutes
• Excluding games where Liverpool started with a centre back or midfielder out of position at fullback e.g. Agger at left back, Carragher/Mascherano at right back

Champions have typically got 18 clean sheets in this period (47% of league games) and CL qualifiers 16 (42%)

Average title winning form is 0.68 and average CL qualification is 0.87

another shot off the woodwork to add to the collection
Yeah... and instead of 11, its actually 10, as of now.

Opta stat was wrong. They counted a Downing effort which hit the back of the goal. This has now been clarified with Opta. Still the most in the PL this season. It's 10 now.

Yohan Cabaye has not lost any of the last 18 league games that he has played in.

Demba Ba has scored 15 goals in 17 starts in his Premier League career.

Maxi-win-stats.jpg
Maxi began to work his way into Dalglish’s team, and he hits his height during a three game spell which saw him score seven goals and complete 89.33% of his passes.

In 2010/11 Downing created, on average, a chance every 43.99 minutes, and this season has trimmed that down to a chance every 42.35 minutes.

Maxi, on the other hand, averaged a chance every 58.37 minutes in 2009/10 and every 57.48 minutes in 2010/11.

Kenny Dalglish has improved LFC's League, FA Cup & European results by just 6.8% on the Roy Hodgson era, despite spending £91.85m more.

End of.

Suarez
Bellamy
Maxi Downing

Like that? no more cross at first sight?

I want Bellamy in there, so would probably prefer Bellamy on the left and keep Carroll but you can't really argue against Maxi anymore.

people are being ridiculously harsh on downing, he IS creating chances but those chances aren't being converted. the chance he created for carroll was an absolute sitter.

if I had milankakabaros' skill with a video editing package I would cut together a clip of the chances downing has created for the other attackers. some of the misses are absolutely criminal.

Reasons for optimism perhaps

In 1993/94, Dalglish & Blackburn's 2nd Premiership season, during similar building phase, had same W5D4L2 record. Finished 2nd. Finished 1st the year after.

LFC have lost 2 games so far. Did same in 1986 & 90. Only on 5 occasions over 25 yrs have we lost less - 88, 91, 03, 08, 09.

Over 1st 11 games, LFC have not been outside top 8. This has not happened in 11 years bar 2008 & 09.
