No. They're Spurs.
They wont win the league, going from 5th to 1st is nearly impossible these days, 3rd is about the best they can hope for but realistically this has put us and Arsenal in a terrible position. I think any chance we had of 4th is now gone, their squad is immense. We are playing for 5th now
Really have to wonder what the fuck our board were playing at when you see some of the attacking talent they have picked up for decent prices while we were out chasing players that never had any interest in joining us.Levy is right to gamble this year, there is a gap for Spurs to exploit and he knows that another season with Champions League football will make it harder and harder to hold onto players. The Bale money is the perfect example of moving a star player on for the benefit of the team, hes a fantastic player but his sale has bought them a whole new attack

I dont think our squad playing to its maximum can finish higher than 5th, if you think thats equivalent to giving up fair enough, but considering we finished 7th last year I would consider it progress, especially when you take into account we have spent nothing and slashed the wage bill this summer. If people think we will be challenging for the title this year then good for them, but theyre in for a very disappointing season
That's a bit harsh. Our squad can finish higher than 5th - it's not just about us playing to our maximum, it's how other teams do as we'll.
Spurs have an awful lot of players to integrate - might look good on paper, but lets see how they go in the real world, eh?
Big call for them to make all these signings - they're going to need champions league revenue to maintain that wage budget.
