The lovely Viking balls are continuing its pillaging and plundering for a new win and 3 points.
Spurs away will be difficult but at the same time it feels like a good time to travel there.
Romero, Kulusevski, Richarlison and Son are out injured. I just sold Salah for my Fantasy team (haul incoming/fuck my fantasy team). I have a feeling a sneaky win could be on the cards.

I'd go:

Alisson
Trent Konate Virgil Robbo

Hendo Fabinho Thiago

Salah Firmino Nunez

Great time to be playing Spurs, although they may arguably completely park the bus given Son is now injured too. Expect to see a back 5 with 3 DMs and Kane & Moura up top.

I expect us to play the below, although could see Klopp putting Hendo in over Fabs

---------------Alisson-------------
Trent--Konate--Virgil---Robbo
------------Fabs--Thiago--------
Elliot------------------------Nunez
----------Salah----Bobby---------

This will be a tight game away. Would save Bobby for a sub to come on and find space

Ali
Trent Konate Virg Tsimikas
Hendo Thiago Fab
Salah Nunez Jones

Hendo plays pretty much every 2nd game now, and he missed Napoli so I'd say he's almost certain to start this.

Conte will absolutely park the bus for this. Based on what I've seen on Spurs this year, he parked it on the opening day and then lost the keys. Most Spurs fans I know are sick of him and want Poch back.

Is there any point saving players legs when there are 2 games left before Christmas and one of them is a reserves game against Derby.

Have any of them said who has better parking skills ? - Conte or Jose ?

LOL

Thank the lord Son is out.

Thought the same when I saw the injury update last night. My biggest fear for this game was Harry Kane pinging through balls to Son over the top of our high back line. Targeting Trent.

This team with the exception of Carvalho for Jones (and of course Fabs and Thiago positionally reversed). Jones had done nothing to usurp him and Carvalho is more skilful and a better goal scorer.

Disappointingly Klopp will choose Robbo over Tsimitas.

The only "pacey" forward they have is surely Lucas Moura? If he wants to go with a 3, he'll have to put Perisic or Sessengon up top. Which I doubt.

Probably will go 3-5-2 and leave himself with the option of Perisic/Sessengon to switch to a 3-4-3.

We should be winning this one 2-0 as long as we don't go with the horrible 4-4-2 diamond again.

Carvalho is a better goal scorer? Am I missing something here? Could've fooled me after that sitter he missed at Forest from about 8 yards with the goal at his mercy. All players miss chances, granted, but it was a bad one.

And Robbo is rightly 1st choice left back.

Jones isn't even on the same page as Carvalho. Fabio has 2 goals in 11 games for us, 11 in 40 games for Fulham. Jones has 3 in 48 games for us. Yeah Fabio is by miles a better goal scorer, there isn't even a conversation to be had!

Tsimikas or Robbo is a coin toss but at present the forum seems to prefer Tsimi and that's understandable too.

So they are both a bit shit at scoring goals then really. But beggars can't be choosers I guess.

Carvalho, great moves but way to weak at this stage, he seems to quite easily get shrugged off the ball. Despite what anyone of you say, I have seen and remember enough of Curtis Jones appearances from two seasons ago to justify why he has a higher ceiling than any one of our youngsters, and at his best he is a better player. I think most of you that don't rate him or like him, have some other issue with him. I refuse to believe the dislike is due to footballing reasons.

Personally I'd rather have 13 goals than 3 (or for comparison Hendo's 12 goals in the PL over the past 8 seasons) - but YMMV !

Totally agree with you about carvalho and jones. Jones hasn't improved as a player since he's come on the scene, if anything he's regressed somewhat. Carvalho just seems allround a better player

I'm not disagreeing with you. I guess I don't see either as huge goal threats at this level just yet (which is why they are only in because of injury). For the record though, I do think Carvalho possibly will be eventually, whereas I don't think Jones will be.

That said, I ultimately quite like both of them.

Alisson

Ramsey
Ibou
Virgil
Robbo

Fab
Thiago
Trent - Fuck it (assuming Hendo's out)

Salah
Nunez
Carvalho

The only thing with Jones is that he's a bit more robust than Carvahlo who gets shrugged off the ball a little too easily at the moment.
Correct. Curtis is frustratingly slow in possession but he is good on the ball. Fabio is better off the bench for now imo

Tsimi to play please. Nunez is a monster in the air and with a left back who can actually cross the ball onto his head, it’ll really make spurs think about our left side.

Tsmikas has been much better than Robbo for a while, more hunger, more pace, more determination to thrown his body on the line. Robbo is great and all, but he's been below standard and hit and miss for a long time.
Robbo looks tired and jaded. The tenacity isn't there as much as it used to be.

Kostas deserves an extended run in the team
