Sahin - off to Inter?

I would disagree. I'd feel the wages are the reason he has to go. I'll make no apologies for saying I thought he'd be great for us. If you look at players like Silva for example who were a bit lightweight or not up to it in their first season here but once they settled became excellent. If Rodgers has identified Şahin as a similar case then it doesnt warrant him being here to settle into a league in which he wont participate in next season. I still maintain he'll become a world class midfielder for years to come, pity it will be somewhere else.
Not denying his talent, but we don't have the luxury of being able to wait for a whole season for him to settle in. We need him ready NOW but he's not so really there's no point.

You're appearing a bit mental in this thread. Just saying.

I can see the upside of keeping him, but you'd have to believe this is based on what he's like in training, which of course we've no idea about. There are things that the management in the club are much better placed to make decisions about than us. We've had such a shit operation for the last several years that people don't have any trust in those decisions.

If being mental is not wanting to keep someone on such high wages who hasn't settled yet and who our manager wants to get rid of then yeah I'm nuts. Unlike you i don't need to resort to personal insults to get my point across. Just saying.

I thought the same thing when I saw your post Glen C - every time the subject of Sahin comes up you're like this guy - "GOOD! He's shit!".

A bit like Buddha with Shelvey.

Heh. 'Personal insults'? Don't be ridiculous.

You're being repetitive and boring Glen, taking the Modo mantle of talking as though opinion is fact. Everyone gets the wage issue. Constantly insisting he's a failure who would never make it here makes you sound like you've got an agenda. We don't know if he's cut out because he hasn't had adequate time to prove it. I half wish he'd go to Arsenal and tear it up just to make you put a sock in it!

I'd rather he stay and tear it up for us!

Dortmund denying he's going there. Echo said we're looking to get rid so it will probably happen.

Real Madrid really do piss an incredible amount of money up the wall. Why the fuck are they paying this guy £115k a week?! Was there any other club on Earth who'd have got near to offering him that?

Mental.

Can't believe he's gone, he was doing so well for us

Wonder if we'll get half of the loan fee repaid?

strange one really . ok i understand wanting to cut the deal short and save money if he's not going to play much but i wonder why Rodgers has gone off him without really giving him a chance . Although he didn't really impress me when he did play so i don't care too much that he's going .

Probably wasn't a smart deal in the first place after all his long term injuries , he was never going to settle and get up to speed quickly like we needed.

I won't lie , so far i haven't been too impressed with rodger's singings . Sahin is off ,i have no idea why assaidi was signed , allen has been underwhelming to say the least and for all borini's movement it looks like we signed the one italian with the touch of savile. Anyway let's see how they progress .

Very good player that sadly didnt show his best for us due to injuries and fitness.
Horrendously underrated by some on here.

Ah well, good thing we had the possibilty to get rid and not pay more than needed.

Liverpool confirm Sahin departure

11th Jan 2013 - Latest News
Liverpool Football Club have confirmed an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid allowing midfielder Nuri Sahin's loan deal to end, so he can join another club with immediate effect.

Sahin arrived at Anfield for a season-long stay in August 2012, but will now spend the rest of the campaign with Borussia Dortmund, the side with whom he won the 2011 German championship.
The Real Madrid man made a total of 12 appearances for the Reds, scoring three goals - including a match-winning brace against West Brom in the Capital One Cup.
Everybody at LFC would like to wish Nuri all the best for the future.

Excellent news. We were paying him big money to be injured and do fuck all. I'd like to have seen him get a better chance, but getting rid of him is best in the long run.

Well if the rumours of him being lazy and not very dedicated are true, then we are better off without him, just sahin.

Well I got this one spectacularly wrong. I really thought he was going to be awesome.

What a letdown.

Haha @ Mystic.

I'm sorry it's come to this. He has talent IMO and I'd have hoped it would have been given more of a chance to express itself. That said, as Mystic suggests we don't know the full story and have to trust the judgment of those who do.

It's not really getting it wrong in this circumstance. I'd guess something behind the scenes here wasn't right, at at least we are being decisive.

A great pity, because in form he's such a clever and classy player, but it's obvious something didn't work.

Can we please not post every time he scores for dortmund, for the love of god? He was here for what seems like 3 weeks.
