I'd say Woy played down expectations in the bedroom on their first date.
.....and then probably talked his 90 second performance as "better than Peter North".
The FA needs to take the under21 games seriously - send full strength squads to finals. Other countries do that and they then have young players who've experienced doing well or even winning. We promote the best under21s to the senior side and then don't trust them, while the under strength under21 squad has to promote the best under19s, which requires the under strength under19 squad to... And so it goes on.

Is David Moyes still looking for a job?
THIS has been a year of surprises in football: Atletico Madrid winning Spain’s Primera Liga, Liverpool almost winning the Premier League, a Champions League where neither Bayern Munich nor Barcelona reached the final. There are signs this World Cup could also produce the unexpected.
Not surprisingly given his last job, Psycho spoke about this at some length on the radio when Hodgson's squad was announced. He was adamant that Cole should have gone instead of Shaw who, he said, would have been far better off playing a full set of games in Toulon. And he was right IMO.
Cole would have been a better option than Baines never mind Shaw. The Paul Weller wannabe was taken to the cleaners by the Italians.
It's a huge shame Hoddle isn't back as boss. He might be a twit but he'd be so much more progressive with this squad.
I don't think that it was a particularly recent interview, but I heard it for the first time late last night on TalkSport radio...
Stuart Pearce talking very candidly about both his England teams and the current set up. He said that he didn't feel that either of his sides that made semi-finals (WC or Euros) were 'great' sides, but rather good sides that got 'fortunate' with their draws in each competition - Ireland, Egypt, a declining Holland, Cameroon, Belguim, Scotland, etc...
He also said how he cannot understand how taking somebody like Luke Shaw on a glorified holiday to Brazil to basically watch football is considered a better option for him, and therefore English football of the near future, than him actually playing 4 or 5 matches against top underage players in the youth world tournament. He said that the next manager, whether RH or not (he actually said that it doesn't matter who it is) needs to be given 8 years to re-establish the youth teams from U-17 up as world powers and then grow those respective players into your stars of 4 or 5 years from now, a la the Spanish youth teams of 6 or 7 years back.
Very interesting listen and made a lot of sense...
