Pellegrini should be our man, Rijkaard aint very good apart from at Barcelona who would make Hodgson look like a great manager

rijkaard had me at zlatan.

Haha, yep, if Massive Zlatan expresses an opinion, it's pretty safe to say it'll be fucking shit, retarded and wrong

The more I see the 'candidates' discussed the more I want Kenny Dalglish appointed, at least until a thorough search is conducted and our financial capabilities discovered.

Currently we've got ourselves into the 'anyone but Roy' mode, leading to us looking for anyone available rather than suitable.

The answer to our short term needs is staring us in the face.

Rebel prefers Pellegrini.

Zlatan prefers Rijkaard.

I think I'll prefer a Bulmers.
[/quote]

HOLLOWAY FOR ANFIELD!

least his post match interviews are intentionally comical

sorry, i meant rijkaard got my support because zlatan prefers pellegrini, it was a bit obscure i know.

you can't even have a go at the new owners, they said they would look at our history and not change from tradition, well traditionally we tend to give our managers time.

Well traditoinally those managers has won at least one game a month?

Hodgsons doing away with our tradition of fortress anfield then i'm sure we can get rid of another tradition in this one occasion...

Our tradition is also to not get relegated.

It's only a matter of time before he's gone.

Being the right man does absolutely not mean he will be chosen for the job you know!!! 8)

Let's employ both Pelligrini AND Rijkaard!

Remember the Evans/Houllier-days you do not...

Haha I know mate and to be perfectly honest it looks a rather wild bet these times with Rijkaard beeing available and Kenny luring in the shades.

A Rijkaard+Kenny constellation leaves with me some hope however. One of my good friends who's a major Barca-fans thought he was a great manager for them. Untill his last Season of course but many factors influenced that like Ronaldinho turning fat and Deco sour.

Not many ex managers have a good last season at any club unfortunately. Thats usually the reason why its their last season

Well to name a few: Jupp Heynkes ended his Real Madrid career by winning them their 1st CL for over 30 years before he was sacked. Capello won La Liga with Real Madrid in 1999 before he was sacked. Capello won La Liga with Real madrid in the 2005(?) before he was sacked. Vicente Del Bosque won CL with Real MAdrid before he was sacked.... And the list goes on 😉

I would prefer O'Neill to either of them. Martin Jol would be an interesting candidate too.

Real Madrid might not be a good example to use though.

The list may go on, but I think you'll find a much longer list of managers not in a job because of a bad last season
