Never mind Benitez, there are some prize, grade A, sanctimonious, graceless cunts on here.

... on both sides on this discussion. As usual. Well in.

You are really starting to grate me as a poster. Don't care if you're bothered or not, but its got to the point where I've decided to say it.
But I'll refrain from personal insults towards you because I used to think you were sound as a poster and a person. However this constant denigration of, and snidey comments towards Benitez, despite his generous charitable contributions does not put you in a good light. All IMHO of course.
I expect the rubbish from the likes of Terrier, he's just a wum who thinks he's funny.

I'm in complete agreement. You painted yourself into a corner before on the same subject, why don't you just leave it? Benitez deserves all sorts of criticism as to how he managed the team, and there's two sides to that. There aren't really two reasonable sides to whether he's a twat or not, that's why I reacted so strongly on numerous occasions when people went overboard with their justified frustrated anger about his decision making, and started being completely disrespectful, calling him a twat and the like. He hasn't done anything to deserve that.
He has been class on the way out, and having heard this entire interview, he didn't really say anything significant, and I never got the impression he was trying to cause problems. There's something unseemly to me about scoffing at a significant donation of money, money he was entitled to.
Your standard of evaluating whether Rafa genuinely cared about the club is absurdly high, such that you wanted him to reject the entirety of the severance pay he was entitled to, and are comfortable ignoring his numerous very helpful charitable donations.
