News not yet in: we've won.

Where has everyone got this idea that Touré can play Rb, from?

Did Wenger not initially use him at RB when he joined Arsenal? And as said he's played there at City.

It's clearly not proven to be his best position but its hardly a mad idea.

You'd also hope he has better positional awareness than Wisdom and Kelly as well.

Brendan Rodgers has made £18million defender Mamadou Sakho wait for his Liverpool debut by leaving him out of the squad to face Swansea City on Monday.

Rodgers had warned the former Paris St Germain player his price tag didn't guarantee him a starting place and the Liverpool manager has been as good as his word, leaving the 23-year-old centre-half behind on Merseyside to do extra training as the first team defend their 100 per cent start to the season in south Wales.

Sakho is short of match practise having been left out in the cold by PSG this season and Rodgers wants him fully fit before playing him – particularly as he has Daniel Agger, Martin Skrtel and possibly Kolo Toure available.

£18million: Mamadou Sakho has been training for Liverpool but will stay at home rather than travel to Swansea

Top battle: Sakho and Victor Moses during Liverpool training

The French international with a distinctive mohican haircut is Rodgers' most expensive signing at Anfield and also the costliest defender in the club's history.

Meanwhile, Luis Suarez also continued his preparations for an anticipated comeback against Manchester United in the League Cup on September 25 by taking part in a practise match at Liverpool's training ground at Melwood on Monday.

The Uruguayan striker is currently serving a 10-match ban for biting Chelsea's Branislav Ivanovic last season but Rodgers warns him he won't be treated as the 'main man' when he returns with Daniel Sturridge having scored the winning goal in all Liverpool's three 1-0 league wins this season.

'We don't mollycoddle them. They are expected to come in and do a job,' said Rodgers, who could have Sturridge involved against Swansea despite the in-form striker missing England's two internationals last week with a hamstring complaint.

I think Toure could have even featured on the right of midfield for Arsenal when he first arrived.

Toure was CM when he first started at arsenal wasn't he? Either way if he's fit its a no brainer that he should be playing tonight. He's been one of our best players if not our best player so far this season.

Sakho is a monster isn't he? His thigh's are huuuuuuuuuuge. Scary man.

Yeah. If he was on a plane, and it crashed, and everyone got really hungry, and reluctantly a sacrifice was needed to sustain the group, I bet his thighs would be absolutely delicious, because there's a lot of meat there but it's ultra lean and exercised. Heck, I'm off to lunch!

I wonder if Sakho is a bit of a character? Look at that hair.

A bit of Dennis Rodman about him. Can't wait to watch him play and scare the fuck out of a few strikers.

Even Rodgers sounds like one of us when he called Sahko 'an absolute monster' in training.

Reminds me of the quote attributed to the Duke of Wellington when surveying his troops: "I don't know what effect these men will have on the enemy, but by God, they terrify me".

We're bound to lose after 3 wins on the trot and a bit of pressure on us to perform.
Add that its a monday night game, which we NEVER win, and it looks like its gonna go to hell.

Hopefully we've turned a corner though and will impress again tonight. A win would be fantastic.

Come on Redmen!!

I just hope after winning the first 3 games we take Swansea lightly. I'm quite confident we won't but there's always that risk.

We're in good form and we've had a few extra days to prepare for this so there's really no excuse for a lacklustre performance!

3-1 to us. I'm so confident of this that I put money on it.
Deal with it, my lovlies.
