It's going to be so difficult to balance our short term need for a good midfielder with our long term need for a couple good midfielders.
This team is finished. Needs massive overhauling. Thought we'd get top 4 at least but that's not looking likely now. They're a bad mess. Don't worry though, Milner still getting minutes. Don't even look like creating a chance, nevermind scoring 2 to win this.
A similar tune to 20/21 season where we eventually barely secured qualification - main difference being this time round, the other Big 6s are going to be much stronger.

Diaz is our best player. Mo and Henderson are absolutely fucking shocking.
Far too slow from the Back/Midfield to the front. It doesn't help that Robbo has been shite and Hendo simply can not play LCM. They are not willing to gamble (esp. Hendo) and constantly play it safe and the slow build up instead of letting the forwards have a go.

Gomez is an easy blame because people think VvD is still VvD pre-Everton.
Half the side are out of form or going backwards. Not one of VVD, Trent, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho or Salah can say they've had a good start to the season.

Injuries have been an issue, sure. But my god how many of the big hitters have been awol. Salah, VVD, Hendo, Robbo, TAA all MIA this season. Thiago and keita never fit.

What's also a problem is his inability to make a key line breaking pass.
Honestly, it's not as bad as we're all making out.
If Thiago and Jota/Nunez were playing, we'd be fine.
