Dzeko is more clever in his movement than with any threat of pace. Given his experience and how many games Matip and Virgil have played together I think that makes the most sense.

The only issue with it is that both Keita and Thiago seem to perform better on the left of the midfield three.

That's my worry, but I don't see why it shouldn't work. I think I'd put keita on the left and thiago on the right. Thiago being slightly more 2 footed

Under the new rulings, CL games will likely be tighter, more tactical, which may suit Italian teams better, but we've just got too much quality to make doubts like this pretty insignificant.

Last away in CL knock out we blew it. We choose an attacking Line up while chasing goals from 1st minute. It gave Kroos a golden opportunity to dictate the game. Brozovic has a similar role at Inter, so maybe it would be good to have Bobby pressing him for a good hour and see how we manage to take them on before going for a more attacking line up when the feets are more heavy out there.

Didn’t we improve when Keita went off? Based on that, we shouldn’t play him in those tactical games. We have looked solid in the few minutes of Thiago and Elliott.

Mané won’t start, nor should Firmino. I’m in 2 minds between Robbo and Tsimikas. Whoever starts Wednesday should miss out Saturday.
