Another Saturday 3pm coming in hot.

All the lads rested and likely working on tactics for an in form Bournemouth.

There will be goals. Enjoy the ride in this one as it could go either way.

Trent is going to need a lot of support from Ibu & Gravy against Bournemouth’s left. They focus a lot down here with Kerkez & Semenyo.

Ali

Trent
Konate
Virgil
Tsimikas

Gravy
Macca
Szobo

Salah
Nunez
Gakpo

I think we all know Diaz will play #9 but I remain unconvinced.

I’m kinda hoping Robbo is saved for the Carabao. There’s a lot of pace in the Bournemouth attack that we need to try and match.

Is Tsimi faster? For me it's not pace but errors I'm worried about. Robbo has one big one in him every game now it seems.

But Robbo will start for sure.

Robbo for Tsimi and Diaz for Gakpo and that's the team for Saturday.

Gakpo just played an hour, I don't think he'll start this one.

This is what i believe Slot will start :

----------------------- Ali

Trent ------ Konate ------- VvD --------- Robbo

---------------------- Gravy
---------------------------------- Macca
--------------- Szobo

Salah --------------- Diaz ---------------- Gakpo

I think he was played out of sentiment. 2 goals and an assist vs Ipswich - i don’t think we can drop him.

He also only did 65 mins against Ipswich and was an unused sub against Lille. He’s not going to be fatigued.

I think this will be the lineup.

I think tsimi should start, but he probably won't

I think Nunez should start, but probably won't

I agree

Feels like we can break the back of the league here.

They are the hot shit at the moment, so a win would be huge.

Then Arsenal play City, fingers crossed for a draw there.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel more confident playing teams who attack us rather than teams sitting back. Even if it isn't always the smartest approach by our opponents, it at least gives us fans a good game to watch.

Gotta hope the Irish bar shows the Rugby and the game

Would prefer Tsimi but Robbo got subbed

Won't happen but I'd put Chiesa up front over Diaz

Our friend Darren England is reffing the game.

Edit: Could have been a lot worse

Darren England has never taken charge of a senior Liverpool game, and has been kept away from the club entirely since he, as VAR, was key in the calamitous decision to disallow a Luis Díaz goal against Tottenham last year (the assistant VAR in that game, Dan Cook, will have the same role here). England is being gradually reintroduced to the Reds – he was fourth official for Liverpool’s trip to Wolves in September – but is still not being let anywhere near Anfield. This will be a test of England’s nerve, should any member of the home team go down in their opponents’ penalty area. Having awarded only one penalty in the Premier League this season (only one referee, Michael Salisbury, has given none), this game between the league’s leading penalty-winners – Bournemouth have been awarded seven this season, scoring six; Liverpool have scored all of their five – could be a particular test. Bournemouth have already beaten three of the current top four at home this season, and are looking to complete a very impressive set. SB

So this is one where it is big on Slot. He's played this team before, he's had a team rested and preparing for it. They're a great team in form, but if we don't win, then it's on a bunch of bad player performances or bad tactics. This is one where any weakness will cost us.

Huge huge game in terms of making a statement.

It won’t decide the title but they are a very in form team and have beaten some good sides. They are full of runners and scoring freely.

If we can win there in a routine 2-0 type performance it will send a huge message.

Obviously I’ll take any win as long as don’t lose players in the process to injury.

Gonna be a tough game this.

I hope the rest would do the boys some good and not leave them all game rusty. We really need to be out of the blocks all fired up from the first minute.

Trent better be on his defensive A game cos you know they'll target him for sure.
