I didn't just concentrate on the one mistake, and if it was an isolated "one mistake" then it would be unfair. As it is, he's had that in his locker throughout his time here, giving away sloppy passes that have led to dangerous situations. You can go back as far as Henderson calling him a "wanker" for giving away a stupid freekick late in a game last year, totally unnecessarily. So while he is a top class technician and great when on form, he also has an annoying lax tendency which presents itself quite regularly. Which is why the criticism of the incident is fair, because it's not the first time. And as for Ali, I "do" lay into him when he fucks up, but Ali gets us out of trouble A LOT, so it's easier to overlook the occasional lapse. Thiago has showed his class, been out the team alot and also been incredibly frustrating and sloppy, pretty much all in equal measure. Yet you're forever keen to overstate his influence. That's the point.
Fuck yourself sideways all you want about the scores, I wasn't criticising the score, I was criticising your logic behind it. In your words:
Surprisingly good when looking at the stats. I didn't notice him as a stand out player (probably because the one episode that comes to mind was his terrible back pass that would have put us behind but for the wonderful Ali).
Yet now you're suddenly laying it on thick about his performance in retrospect. Your argument is all over the fucking place, as per when you're either sucking off or OTT lambasting your pet favs/peeves.
