We were naive after Benteke's goal. We should have played possession football instead of trying for a second goal.

Cant even remember what Lallana did during the game. Coutinho was also poor
That's because you have a bias against Lallana.

Coutinho has had a run of bad games this season and it hasn't improved under Klopp, Lallana has improved albeit, not difficult since he was out with injury last season.

Single: depends on the medical advice IMO. Interestingly there was a rumour that the real reason Dr.Iqbal left was that he didn't think Sturridge would recover a reliable level of fitness and the club refused to take that advice, so we need to be willing to face up to whatever any new advice ends up saying.

For the record, the current perfomances of Pool mirror the ones of Dortmund a lot in his first season. We were also masters of drawing back then, drawing more than a dozen games back then. It was similar in Mainz aswell. That is what Klopp does at first. He stabilizes the teams at the beginning and then builds his football culture out of a stable system.

I expect Klopp to start a major change of the personell in the first two transfer windows just like he did with us. Klopp right now is not a threat for United or the big guns in the league in general. He is a squad builder and has not even started that at Pool. The threat he presents will always be about how much time Pool will give him. Given the amount of hype they produced about his persona, he will get at least two seasons unless they battle relegation.

Klopp seems to have other ideas. He felt we showed a lack of confidence and instead of continuing in the same vein we lost it.

Klopp: "After this we had nine, 10 minutes to play. But there was no belief in their eyes. Nobody was able to push.

I think I gave Rodgers longer than most on here. I hope Klopp is here for years because that will mean we're achieving something. I'm just saying I find the laughter a little mis-placed at this time. It's really no big deal, just an observation.
Why comment on the observation if it's no big deal?

To me the laughter is sign that he's clearly enjoying it at Liverpool, he knows the enormity of his position and knows how to get Liverpool back to the top or improve us. Look at Rodgers mannerism before he was sacked: clearly a defeated man.

Klopp: "When I came here I knew some things would be difficult - that's normal, the other teams don't wait for us."

Klopp: "We are not cool, that's the problem in this moment."

Klopp: "We all wish, but we have to be more calm in the situations we create. These guys work so hard, then in we are not calm enough.

Klopp: "Development is never, ever, ever a short race."

Klopp: "We have to think about what we can do for us. What we have to do better immediately, and what we have to develop."

Klopp: "We can do better with the players on the pitch. I see that they want, 100% want to win, to fight, to give all they have."

Christ almighty...it's an Internet forum which is almost completely full of observations that are of no big deal. That's the beauty of it.
If you really want to admit you was rash with your observation, then go ahead. It's no big deal 😉

I think he's just pointing out that people will interpret things how they see fit, depending on what their agenda is. If Rodgers had stood laughing after the opposition had scored, he'd have been crucified by the same posters who are quick to defend Klopp here. I want Klopp to do well and I understand him laughing at how we basically shot ourselves in the foot. It must be as frustrating for him as it is for us. But I can't help smirking at the way alot of people are blowing smoke up his arse after every interview and lapping up all of his mannerisms. Let's see whether people are still finding it all so endearing a bit further down the line, because the same impatient fans who were on Rodgers' case a few months after a title challenge, will be exactly the same should Klopp need time and patience to get it right.

All top managers sort out the defensive spine/diamond first (keeper-CB-CB-DM).

Houllier's first few signings were Westerveld, Hyypia, Henchoz and Hamann. That spine (barring Westerveld) lasted years.

Rafa's first action was to sign Alonso and move Carra to CB. The Dudek/Reina-Hyypia-Carra-Alonso was the spine on which all of Rafa's success was built.

Klopp's done something similar - made Sakho first choice CB and the DM a default player. I reckon the Mignolet-Sakho-Skrtel-Lucas diamond will be an ever present this season.

I also think upgrading that spine will be a major priority in his first two transfer windows.

Mamadou Sakho recovered from a sloppy opening gambit to complete the joint-most passes of any player today, with 75. Accuracy of 88%.
Only Lucas Leiva (89.3%) and Jose Fonte (88.9%) registered a higher passing accuracy than Sakho this evening.

I'm losing the will to live with our shooting, it's overall just bollocks, and the way the idiots look up at the sky after hoofing it 60ft over the goal, not even anywhere near. Coutinho has reverted to the shooting he had before his little purple patch of goals.
We're looking more and more solid and difficult to beat, but we've got no attack and we still look susceptible to the same old defensive errors.
I think we'll be fine when everyone is fit.

That just shows you dont know what your talking about. I've been more than supportive of Lallana, but I just struggle to see what he brings to the team at the moment.
He'll be swapped for Firmino against Chelsea imho.

Says the person that uses Twitter as a source of information

Every site I have looked at with fan ratings all have Lallana rated higher than Coutinho tonight, and his stats show 3 chances created to Coutinhos 1.

I'm not saying Lallana was pulling up trees and that Coutinho isn't the better player but sometimes Lallana seems to be an easy target, he's had a decent last few games.

Heh, great comeback. Twitter is for fun. Its not like whatever comes out of Twitter is gospel.
Nobody has ever said that. Its probably 95% bollocks.

Anyway, cant be arsed with this. Coutinho was poor and Lallana was poor.
In my opinion. Which is what a football forum is all about.

I think Lallana is the bizarro Lucas. I mean he looks good with his quick feet and neat turns but he's less effective than a condom on Sterling.
Lucas however looks shit but does his job well without the plaudits.

That being said, Lallana was better than Coutinho today but I never want to see them on the pitch at the same time. They just don't work together. It's been pretty evident for a quite a while now.

Part of the problem is that neither is much of a goal-scorer and, therefore, they are reliant on runs and finishing in front of them. Which at this point Origi is definitely not providing. Lallana gets into great positions but must have taken shooting training with powderpuff Sterling.

Exactly. One is expecting the other to do runs into the box and none of them are doing it.
Coutinho was amazing when he had Suarez and Sturridge in front of him. To bad about Ings but I can't wait to see Benteke, Sturridge, Firmino and Coutinho on the pitch together.

Yep,

Yep me too. Without 1-2 top notch strikers we are dire. Absolute muck.

Unlike Rodgers, Klopp isn't complaining about what a shambles he took over, with all kinds of digs about the previous regime. He's classy and confident. It feels like a proper new start, positive and thoughtful, so even these draws are fascinating.
