I don't think we have seen enough of Firmino to pass judgement on him. When he came on against Southampton he showed a couple of lovely touches. He needs time to settle in before we can write him off!

I agree about Origi though. I know he is a youngster but he has had enough chances to score and he hasn't. Against Southampton he didn't do enough running off the ball in my opinion.

Firmino looked pretty promising when he came on.

Really need him to develop into an important player for us as the season goes on given our complete lack of creative spark!

Give Jurgen time to assess the Squad and see what he needs. He has been a couple of weeks in the job, and had more than enough preparing the team for games rather than coaching them on how he wants the team to play.
You'll have to explain that bit to me because it's obvious to (I thought) everyone that he has been coaching them !

The ratings you posted. I was wondering if it was from another site, although your response suggests you wrote them. In that case, they are quite fair imo.
Except the bit about Mignolet ... 'contributed to the sloppy equaliser' and Sakho's 6/10. Both clearly wrong.

Mamadou Sakho recovered from a sloppy opening gambit to complete the joint-most passes of any player today, with 75. Accuracy of 88%.
Only Lucas Leiva (89.3%) and Jose Fonte (88.9%) registered a higher passing accuracy than Sakho this evening.

A 'sloppy opening gambit'? That's nonsensical writing.
Fact is, he was poor for the first 20 minutes, making bad decisions with the ball and falling all over the place.

With respect to Klopp smiling and grinning about drawing, so what? The squad is devoid of confidence and there's a lot of pressure on them. He's right to relax and chill a bit. I don't doubt for a second that he'll work like crazy behind the scenes to get things right, but the whole set up needs to chill a bit. That's not to be confused with complacency and not giving a shit though.
This guy is a top class manager and he will come good. Like fuck am I going to judge him until he's had ample time to tinker with transfers and develop the squad.
No pre season and most of our better players out injured. I don't expect shit until the new year.
Someone please loan Origi out. It'll be good for us and him.

There was only one poster that observed Klopp's smiling. And it was no big deal for him.

It's a quote (hint: it was in italics) so what you think of the writing is irrelevant. As for the rest of your post ? Biased bollocks. He made a couple of poor passes into central midfield then got his act together. Just to prove the point look at his assessment, not only on 6CM (a large majority voting him in the top 3, though not for me but I did give him a mention) but in the press, The Echo fan's ratings had him tied 3rd, the Echo writers' 4th. You were over the top in your criticism.

I said even he was laughing at how bad our defence was.

That's kinda what I think too. It was like a way grin "Oh FFS after all that the fuckers still can't keep a bloody clean sheet. Ha, Brendan has broken this team!"

That's how imagined his internal voice anyway. Only with a more convincing accent.

And your defense of him is in no way biased. Even the commentators made a point of saying throughout the game that he wasn't as good as his recent performances. I'm not sure why people are quick to underrate Skrtel as a means to big up Sakho either, or to praise Clyne's defensive play after he made another couple of errors. Mignolet could do little about the goal, if his own player hadn't crashed into him, he looked like he was getting a hand to it.

Nope. It wasn't. I didn't say he was brilliant and I said he wasn't in my Top 3 and probably the 4th that he was rated across most media sites is where I'd place him too. Not being as good as his recent 8+/10 performances doesn't mean he was shite for the first 20 mins as claimed, or errorless of course. His match stats back up he was far from shite/average though.

The same poster slating Sakho's opening 20 mins also thought Mignolet partly to blame for the goal .. I pulled him up on that too. I said nothing about Skrtel or Clyne.
