Bring back Rafael!

Everyone knows - he's the only man who can EVER return us to the glory days.

RAFALUTION or RELEGATION.

Those are the only plans available.

hey mate, just think, I'm one of the few optimists on here ... Just thought I'd poke fun at one group of pessimists ...

he would come back straight away, given the chance, but I sometimes wonder what he would make of it all with our striker situation. One thing for sure - we would go back to our defensive days and the going forward stuff would be put to one side. Think he would like Allen though.

Not completely true. Rafa didn't only play defensively, but he did do that too much. Given a few quality attackers before 'the madness' in the last season I think he'd have had a team that could've destroyed anyone.

You know when Voltaire wrote 'Candide, or Optimism' optimism was a very new word, he used it for comic effect, to mock the usage by his peers in the Enlightenment. The other similarity here is that it was all set around the Lisbon earthquake of 1755, and like that situation, ahhhhhh.... THE PLANE HAS CRASHED INTO THE MOUNTAIN

i have a better plan d - at the end of the season lets sell SG , i think he is a liability in midfield and he is not going to change even if we play him up front on the right or even as a striker. i also think he is a destabalizing influence on the team being an iconic figure.

i await the abuse from all.

I really, really want to debate this with you. But I need to file my nails. Urgently.

i am on the train going to work and its difficult to type a lon reason explaining my thinking. in summary all i can say is that he is gettting older and more tired , we pay him lots of money, he has saved us and carried us in the past but br has been given time to rebuild and having him be a key member of the team is short term thinking. i want to see lfc without SG going forward sooner rather than later not just for the teams sake but also to help us supporters get over that underlying fear of a future without gim.

Ltw, you've just made me leave the site..
Not really, but nearly.

Ha ha ... was it really that bad? I just can't stand people banging on the same crap whenever we struggle. Rafa did a lot of good for this club, but his time (I think) is up. Let's get behind BR, and not the "Rafa should come back" every time he stumbles. If he fails, the owners can bring back Rafa is he's the best candidate available.

Everyone knows your feelings on SG, but do you have to go on about it in every thread? You want him sold, we get it.

I'm going to a Benitez Q&A session in London soon. Any questions for him? Except you Ross!
Ask him what were the primary reasons for each of his transfers. To make it a little less time consuming (cos, y'know, he bought in a lot!): Aqualini, Keane, Kromkamp, Voronin, Degen.

You can start the question with : "WTF was you thinking you when you bought in ...."

Ask him what role he's been assigned in The Liverpool Family. The Uncle we don't talk about? Divorced father with limited visiting rights?
