Pedro has admitted he is struggling to adapt to the Premier League after making his summer move to Chelsea from Barcelona.
The World Cup and Champions League winner made a dream start to his Blues career, scoring on his debut against West Brom, but has since failed to make his mark.
But the £21million man, who Jose Mourinho stole from under Manchester United's nose in August, said he was still getting used to the physical side of English football.

'It’s hard. It’s very different to what I’m used to [at Barcelona],' Pedro told the Mirror.
'But, little by little, I'm integrating more, adapting with my team-mates and the team and that's the most important thing.

'Everything is different, very different to the football I'm used to. I think there are a lot of differences, very physical football, very strong.
'A lot of players attack and it's always complicated. All the games are competitive and very balanced.'

Eden Hazard came off the bench for Chelsea against Aston Villa after being left out of the starting line-up

Jose Mourinho said the winger was left out because Chelsea have been conceding too many goals
The 28-year-old's slow start is perhaps less surprising than the radical slump in form of last season's Premier League Player of the Year Eden Hazard, who has been dropped from the Chelsea first-team.
Mourinho said that Hazard would play second fiddle to Pedro and Willian until he proved he could keep up his defensive responsibilities.
'I left out Hazard because we are conceding lots of goals,' said Mourinho.
'We need to defend better. We need our midfielders to be just worried in the central area of the pitch, not worrying about compensation on the left or right.

'Playing with Willian and Pedro, the midfielders don't have to move left or right. They know those parts are controlled.
'It was leaving super quality on the bench, but bringing tactical discipline and hoping the team could be solid.
'I will continue that way, or he comes in our direction and tries to emulate the same work that Willian and Pedro put in.'

He is suffering from being in a side that is playing like shit and having to increase his defensive responsibilities so as not to be benched.

He would have been shit for us to - but mostly because we play like shit.

Never liked him, never been impressed. Always needs other better players around him the flourish. A poor man's Theo Walcott. And he's shite too.

Not a bullet dodged, he's a decent player but he's not all that great, not that creative, not a goalscorer. People were creaming themselves on here over him in the summer, including people claiming to have watched spanish football, but him and Tello were never all that and were allowed to leave.

I wouldn't say "bullet dodged" when we have worse players that were as expensive or more expensive than him.

Who, for example?

But just because we may have bought shit players, it doesn't mean not buying another is not a bullet dodged.

On the evidence so far, it's very clearly a bullet dodged.

He may come right, mind.

I'm sure plenty of clubs who looked at Firmino are thinking the same. You cant judge a player in a new league after only a handful of matches. It might not work out for him this season but he's a quality player

Based on what we've seen if swap Pedro for firmino .

I still hope he will come good but I'm feeling similar to how obi wan must have felt when annakin goes all baddie

Were we ever in for him? I'm not sure it counts as bullet dodged if we weren't in the line of fire in the first place. Not suggesting we made a conscious decision to keep our powder dry; Pedro may start rifling in goals at a later date anyway. He may just not be getting the ammunition.

Indeed. It's way too soon to write him off, just as it is with Firmino. The Chavs are in uproar just now (I know, breaks your heart dunnit) and what we're seeing of Pedro at the moment may turn out not to be representative of what he can do in the Prem.

Hope Pedro continues to struggle and Chelsea to implode. Firmino has just stated training with Klopp and i think after 3 games he will show you why we paid well over market price for him.

Yeah I thought I'd gone on redcafe by mistake for a minute

He's another striker in their late twenties who struggled to adapt to the Premiership.

Better than him have failed. So it shouldn't be surprising if he doesn't cut it

He started very brightly and I wouldn't bet him returning to form. The downturn in Chelsea's form has coincided with his own. Coming from Barca he's probably not used to ever being behind and under as much pressure to create or score.
