The key to all this internets is not to take anything too seriously. Someone slags off this person or that person - so the fuck what
It's not just me who noticed (with you), so I don't think I'm being blinkered, I'm not the only one to point it out am I? You only have to go and read a selection of your last so many posts to see the general trend.
In light of what the OP said, I would like to see a pact where posters only attack the post and not the poster.
Or they don't bother posting.
Established posters are guilty of this more than most.
Course they are (hmmmmm), but it's a useless pact when people are obviously trolling, or just persistently negative people. For the record, I equally can't stand people going overboard about players that are clearly struggling or not good enough, or the teams credentials, everyone (for the most part) knows where we are at, we don't need it rammed down our throats everyday about how far we've fallen and we don't need to be told that Henderson is suddenly going to become Luis Figo and we're going to walk away with the league. All I usually ask for is a bit of perspective, if you go through my posts I don't think I act super fan at all, I'll post the occasional 'what if' post regards our prospects, but by and large I'll call a spade a spade. Disagreeing with people being overly negative doesn't equate to that person being at the other end of the spectrum. Like I said, some posters need to show some perspective and get in touch with reality, or just stop posting what's unfortunately, painfully obvious already to most of us. Does Ryan really have to jump on Kenny at every opportunity? Does Modo have to believe every negative slant posted in the papers? etc... it get's boring and predictable, that's when people start attacking the poster, because they become synonymous with that viewpoint.
shoehorn blueprint.
Tika Taka too.
[sarcasm] That's the spirit.
I'm the same when I go the match.
In fact, I'm sure everyone slagged Paisley off when he replaced shanks.
[sarcasm/]
So we didn't get van Gaal. Boo fucking hoo. You support Liverpool, or you claim to, not some manager that you think would be better than the owner's choice.
Yes I have some doubts, you'd be mad not to, but when he's had a couple of weeks with half the squad & one game against a side whose season has started already, having a go is ridiculous.
Have some fucking patience people, if we get past halfway in the season & we are seeing no improvement in play or results ill understand questions about him, until then I suggest people remember teams don't turn around things overnight, esp without a massive amount of cash to spend & a with a large wage bill cut needed.

Trolling usually leads to abuse on here, that's the point, you've got to stop one first to avoid the other. Simples. If people are going to continually post the same points and moan about everything, they're going to get flack for it.

Just because a fellow red diasgrees with you, it is not trolling.
And therein lies the reason why a pact is useles, there's a difference between disagreeing over some subjects and just moaning about everything. One is trolling.
That last part is presumptuous. I believe Cromwell said something similar. But obviously patience is needed, and much biting of tongues, sometimes other people's. (I've always hated slagging players and managers off. I don't feel any longer the same about the club, but you can't just give up supporting it, even if you'd prefer to go away and do something grown-up. I hope Rodgers does well and the team does well. I won't feel the same gut-wrenching anxiety, however, as it all develops.)
So argue the post or dont post anything at all.
If you REALLY think it is trolling, ignore it.
Why throw abuse at the poster?
Is that really too difficult........

Spot on 🙂No, but you really did have a lot of shit posts.
I think most of us would prefer a higher level of discourse
