The mathematics of closing the goal difference never really worked. We seem to have forgotten how to shut games out, which is perversely ironic as that's what Rodgers did when he first came in so well.

i was just about to say how impressed i was with the performance , the attitude was spot on and we could have been 5 up . But the way it fell apart was ridiculous. everyone love stats and conceding 49 is not good enough . rodgers never seems worried by it but surely he has to look into improving it .

That's 10 more goals than Everton have let in and they are supposed to have an attacking manager.

You could see it when the second goal went. Every player looked mentally fucked and tired.
The team will learn and Rodgers will learn. But this is tough to take.

Johnson and Lucas shouldnt be anywhere near this team.

Time to get a defensive coach in or at least have better defensive minded players as this will only cost us in the long run

Fucking suicide.

Someone is going to have to explain to me what the fuck Lucas offers.

Shat defending costs us again and shows we've got a few things to sort out yet before we can claim to be champion material

Johnson did well for a fair bit of the game. Lucas though was poor from start to finish.

Being in a team of fucking bottlers.

It's still a young team without any really experience from players who've done it for 38 games, bar Johnson who's the last person you want to rely on.

It's an unfortunate slip, but the team - including Suarez - had enough chances to make this game 4/5/6-0 long before Palace scored. We win as a team, we draw as a team & we lose as a team.

Really tough way to end the season but we finish it off properly against Newcastle
