1. Very slim indeed BUT Reading knocked out Bradford City, who had previously gone to Chelsea and won 4-2, so it's (just) possible. Even if the Arse win (which I still expect), I can see the game being closer than many pundits are saying.

2. Innit. The Mancs are without a number of key players so the Chavs ought to do it, but I'm not going to jinx it by making a firm forecast.

Arsenal coasting, 1-0 at half time.

Chelsea with a goal against the run of play.

With murmurs of talk of a late Utd title challenge it was interesting from a Liverpool point of view that before this game they were 8 points behind Chelsea. We are 8 points behind United.

Late push for 3rd?

For all the Mancs' domination of the ball, they've not really tested Courtois at all. Chelsea relying on their trusted formula in big games - soak up the pressure, give the opponents the ball, let them make a mistake with it, and then finish clinically.

Falcao was absolutely obliterated by EBJT on that Chelsea goal. I reckon he is about 1/10 the player he was 3 years ago.

Just switched on a few minutes ago after being busy all day. Well happy.

Lol at arsenal hitting the woodwork.

Tbh though I'd be as nervous facing reading as I would arsenal, bizarrely.

Fucks sake poblengba or whatever your name is, hard to miss that than score.

Harsh. I didn't think it was that simple a chance, besides which the other player (Mackie?) confused things by making that stupid run behind him to the left-hand side. If Mackie had just pulled further out to Pogrebnyak's right he'd have got the ball and then *would* have had an easy chance.

Yeah, it was a bit harsh actually, but had he taken the shot a couple of steps earlier I think he'd have a good chance of beating the keeper.

Hoping reading can hold out to penalties now.

"What a day they've had"

I hate that. So amazingly patronising, like they have no chance of winning so the day out is all that matters, or they won't be gutted if they lose.

Poor fucker.

Horrible gaff but that ball wasn't half spinning when it hit him, makes it bloody tricky to hold on to.

That pitch is horrific up close, looks nice & flat until the camera is on the side angle & you can see how uneven it is.

How do keepers this shite even make it to this level?

He's been lucky several times today, suppose it was always coming.
I'm not sure many keeper's look good now tbh, & I think the fast pitches, light balls & players that put many athletes to shame they're so fit combine to expose any flaws they may have.

Most top class keeper's I can think of suffered at least one flaw or facet of their game that used to worry you, but those weren't tested as much at all.

Reading doing a fair bit of pressing the last few minutes.
Arsenal will most likely get a 3rd on the counter.

Downing with a piss poor giveaway and then makes no effort to track back for the second. Knew we couldn't count on West Ham to even make a challenge of this game anyways.
