Good result. I do not want Poch there.

Ogs will never make Utd a threat in terms of winning a league title so I’m happy for him to do enough to get them high enough to keep his job

50 million based on one very good season with no proof he could contribute going forward? He's a decent defender but it was ludicrous money.

If you can only have one exceptional side to a game I’d pick defence. He had shown glimpses of great attacking play too. Shearer pointed it out in MOTD a number of times.

Plenty of clubs have spunked big money on players after one great season. We did religiously for decades.

It was huge money to spend on a relatively unproven player. He was bigged up by the media a lot last year (and a lot of it was justified), I'm just saying automatically paying those huge sums for those players showed a real lack of imagination from the scouting/management team.

I dunno he’s a very good defender and will most likely have a very good career. Plenty of talented players have been bought after a good season.

Although you’d think they learnt from Shaw 😀

Not so sure about that. He was definitely in the £30-40m category and there is that United 'tax' they have to pay. Fee looks good to me in today's market and he's still young and will improve considerably, even in a struggling side. I wonder how TAA and Robbo would have done if we were struggling in 10th and not gunning it down the motorway at 100mph?

Wait until you see what we have to pay for Sancho !

Come on, how you going to be 10th with those 2 bad boys on either side.
Cross, cross, boom; Repeat * 26 times a season.
