Also we played less games so far at this point I believe but yes I don't expect us to do it or get close though this year though purely down to our strength in midfield.

Arsenal winning already, and probably going to win the league as well.

We're only eight points behind them. I think we were in a worse position this time last year and we ended up a point off them. I mean i know we're a bit shit, but you never know.

Unfortunately 15 behind Arsenal as it stands!

@Woland - I love you man, but even the most optimistic fan of our club cannot possibly feel confident of our chances this season even when we win games. Like after watching us last night - I have no idea what we will be like in our next game. Every game is like a 50/50 job especially when we struggle against all the garbage teams.

City have become a bit of a one man team with team with their Haaland obsession.
I know they have KDB but Arsenal have never had it so easy...

Yeah I know - even the other night against them in the league cup - we were actually not that bad as people made out to be, like we were scoring against them with ease at certain points and had Darwin taken his chances they would be out of it. They are not as fluid in my opinion as previous seasons, something is actually not quite right with them but they could quite easily win the next game 9-0.

Only eight points off City and we’ve not even got going yet.

With Arsenal bound to implode in January or February and Gakpo coming in to supply the crosses for Nunez to flourish, I’m still a believer.

And fwiw, I’m fully expecting Fabs to pick up his form and dominate from now on.

Unless Haaland snaps his ACL, City will be comfortably clear of Arsenal by the seasons end. Arteta is doing a fine job, but they're not experienced enough to win it ahead of the likes of City, IMO.

They have a 7 point cushion now.

Arsenal are notorious bottlers. As if they will walk it. They’ll implode soon enough.

Arsenal have not played Man City yet either, think they avoided the first game by blaming it on the queen.

However, this Arse side is a bit wank and City don’t look as capable this year.If we had brought a midfielder that could run about, we would have bummed them into new year. But they get a pass this season.

Signing two seasoned winners from City was very smart.

We’re winning it. We hunted down a much better side last season. Arsenal are shit bags and will bottle it.

Exactly.

I’m so sick and tired of this defeatist, depressing, self-fulfilling prophecy anti-jinx tripe.

2023 is a year of warriors. Hal’s last year. Old news. Warriors don’t go into games with shrunk balls. They go with Viking balls.

We will hunt. Fight. And won’t stop until blood and sweats spilled.
