Lindelof is shite apparently, I haven't watched much of him. But yeah, you'd think so. Especially given the fact that Mourinho had them as one of the top defensive sides last season. A new cb isn't going to stop the turgid, unadventurous football.

I dunno, Bailly looked good enough in his first season, but all of the others are inconsistent and prone to errors, apart from Lindelof, who is consistently shit, a massive fucking shithouse and can't head a ball.

Bailly did look good before he was sidelined last season.
Lindelöf formed a great back line with Granqvist for Sweden in the world cup.
So, it's enigma for me. Could be that Lindelöf needs a dominant Van Dijk type defender next to him.

I think that a decent manager could create a solid back line with that.

He's looked absolutely braindead this season and most of last, he might have the physical attributes. It's fairly telling that Jose resorted to Jones/Smalling over and over even when Bailey and Lindelof were match fit. Utd fans up in arms about it as they dont rate any of their CB's and agreed with the manager that they needed one in the summer.

I think his reading of the game can be an issue. Has the attributes, but not the whole package. Needs someone to direct him

Yes, no doubt. I do wonder if he had not had so many injuries, disrupting his experience of playing in this league for Utd, whether then he'd have matured more mentally, and learned to be a more cerebral and not only physical player. He might just not have that in him, but the lack of continuity means that it hasn't had an opportunity to grow.
