We're going to lose more money on Balotelli. Just like we did on Aquilani and Borini. Except we can't sell these guys and they take years to bin so we suffer the injustice for longer. No more Italians, right?

In € terms, we lose about €11m.

And almost any replacements transfer fee will be in €.

Your maths was off in the first post you made on the expected fee (£45m or €64m of the £60m or €75m) and you are now compounding it. If the £ difference is £15m then the € difference is about €21m , add on 1 year's salary at I expect ca. £250k a week (£13m) and he's cost Untied £28m in one year, or near enough €40m .

No my maths was ok we bought for €75m sold and rumoured to be selling for €64m an €11m loss. Obviously plus wages of probably about the same or a little more again.

Don't think he was on £250k. Every united player can't be on that much otherwise wages including all other united staff would be far more than £200m.

Looks like Di Maria is a good as gone. Missed his flight to the States.

Very disappointed had high hopes for him this season and as poor as he was for parts of last season he still managed to get the most assists.

Rumours that we will get back £45m (€64m) of the £60m(€75m) spent on him.

Gallactico policy from last season very underwhelming. Let's hope his replacment works out better.
Let's not.

Pounds will be your base figure. You, like other English clubs, would hedge against a stronger euro, not a weaker one. Your loss will be far greater than €11m. Not that it matters, of course. You lot have spent £300m in two years. What's a 15m pound loss between marketing executives.

You see that quote ? That's yours :
(£45m or €64m of the £60m or €75m)
and your conversion is way off.

United paid £15 million for each Di Maria goal

I'd say the figures would be accurate at the time of the respective transactions.

He's still wrong about the €11m figure, though.

Sorry Ollie but you've missed it too.

He stated : .... £45m or €64m of the £60m or €75m ...... Which means the £45m is converted to a Euro figure €19m higher, however the £60m figure is converted to a Euro amount just €15m higher, so clearly wrong. I have no idea which are the correct figures, £ or €, hence the questioning.

If that useless big eared cunt does go (at a whopping loss) then it'd probably make sense for them to get the ineffective Pedro in.
Thank fuck they're not signing people like Bale or Ronaldo.

He's using the Euro to GBP conversion rates at time of transfer.

Ha yes ive been quite glad ronaldo hasnt made a return to the premier league and i think if he ever does , itll be in the twilight years of his career.

Hopefully the same will apply to Bale .. Although im fairly sure it wont and he will come back sooner rather than later

Look what I wrote .. conversion rates can fluctuate but not by millions ! For the £45m figure his rate is 1.422 for the £60m figure it's 1.25 so very clearly he's cocked up somewhere, unless the £ has made incredible gains over the past year !

Are you not aware of what has happened to the Euro in the past year?

FYI

Those are about the rates I used. Makes buying on the continent much cheaper this season.

Costa was being a twat against Aurier (PSG). Elbowed him, so Aurier absolutely floored him ... Jose went apeshit ... I wonder how many red cards he'll get and force opponents into this time (@King Binny - can you post the gif?)
