2) We're lucky to be down but it seems like a team adjusting to the highest level they've experienced since last year! So far, 'ok'
3) Joe Gomez is going to be ok ... He's got a lot to learn, and it's not easy making your first start against Jon Walters ...
4) Lallana & Coutinho have done nothing with their opportunities ... One will come off for Firimino and we'll win 2-0

Ibe has made the most impact out of all of our attackers and our strategy often appears to be to give the ball to him but hes' still pretty raw and not ready to make the same sort of impact as Sterling.

Lallana, Milner and Henderson all like to run about a lot. I don't really know what else to say about them as far as this game goes. Some of the passing has been criminal.

Coutinho is still on holiday.

So slow and predictable when we start an attack. A trademark move: midfielder picks up the ball in the centre circle; Ibe goes into loads of space out wide; a defender hangs back. So the midfielder passes back to the defender, who then passes to Ibe, who has now had his space shut down, so he either loses the ball or just passes it back. That's what we do over and over again. There's a neurotic resistance to playing the simple ball, quickly, forward.

This is a direct result of playing the 4-2-3-1 when half the team isn't suited to it. Coutinho and Lallana are never going to get any joy from it. Benteke is going to continue to be isolated.

The good thing of course is that the 4-2-3-1 is by its nature a far more solid defensive formation than the 4-3-3, so there's more protection for the back 4.
